JOB SUMMARY
Analyzes transportation and distribution systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and economical delivery of the organization's products. Reviews proposals and makes recommendations for modifications in rates and transportation regulations. Evaluates freight classifications, tariff rates and operating efficiency to ensure the proper delivery of products. Plans and coordinates fleet operations, including acquisition, scheduling, maintenance service and repair, and disposal of trucks, and hires common carriers (third-party transportation companies) as appropriate.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Required)
- In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Two (2) or more years Management experience (Required)
- Eight (8) or more years Experience in a related field (Required)
- No Licensure or Certification Required.

- Over 60% of time in field in a wide range of temperatures and weather conditions , Able to lift up to 75 pounds , Maintaining a CDL strongly preferred , Some overnight travel is required , Required to wear PPE (Safety glasses, hard hat, safety shoes, and FR clothing) in field
- Oversees, manages, and directs the day-to-day activity and functions of gathering, logistically managing, and serving customers’ freight
- Uses sound business disciplines to generate maximum revenue and profits while operating in an efficient manner, meets the safety and performance standards and goals set forth by the company, current customers, and regulating authorities
- Provides leadership, training, and guidance for fuel logistics coordinators
- Initiates contact and builds relationships with current and prospective customers
- Ensures that all customer needs are met with respect to on time performance, error-free service, and reporting
- Conducts Driver/Field Audits on a regular basis
- Participates in Final ride-along with new driver prior to initial individual run
- Conducts interviews and road tests with potential new drivers
