Process Engineer Supervisor

The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

The Process Engineer Supervisor is responsible for the supervision and development of the process unit engineers, rotational engineers, and engineering interns.  This includes aligning department resources with the refinery’s needs, both day-to-day and long-term.  They will provide both technical guidance and development, as well as personal development opportunities for their team. They will be viewed as the site subject matter expert for process troubleshooting and optimization.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures the Operations Department is supported and has the technical resources needed to execute the operating plan and drives Refinery Operations towards optimal performance
  • Participates and leads troubleshooting activities and root cause failure analysis for process issues
  • Reviews technical reports, memos, and correspondence for clarity and accuracy
  • Provides oversight for unit health monitoring and optimization
  • Develops and executes plans to manage technical resources during upsets, outages and turnarounds
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Required Education:

•             B.S. Chemical Engineering

 

Minimum Required Experience:

•             7-years refinery process engineering

•             Solid verbal and written communication skills

•             Strong interpersonal skills

•             Ability to interact effectively and positively with all levels of Company personnel

•             Ability to work in a team environment

•             Proven ability to adapt to change

•             Demonstrated organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple projects and tasks in an effective manner to meet multiple deadlines

•             Demonstrated problem solving skills

•             Proficient computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

 

Desired Experience:

•             10+ years refinery experience

•             Operations supervision

•             Technical supervision
