Job Summary:
Analyzes transportation and distribution systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and economical delivery of the organization's products. Reviews proposals and makes recommendations for modifications in rates and transportation regulations. Evaluates freight classifications, tariff rates and operating efficiency to ensure the proper delivery of products. Plans and coordinates fleet operations, including acquisition, scheduling, maintenance service and repair, and disposal of trucks, and hires common carriers (third-party transportation companies) as appropriate.
Job Responsibilities:
- Clerical duties in the office; sort and file paperwork.
- Assist billing and payroll department on load paperwork issues
- Maintain master truck, trailer, driver lists.
- Schedule equipment PM appointments.
- Assist drivers on proper paperwork processing.
- Maintain fuel level reporting in yard tanks.
- Assist in new hire training on how to use our systems.
- Provide load reporting to refinery.
- Update third party systems as needed with load information.
- Work with dispatch on out of service equipment and drivers.
- Daily yard check
- Enter approved non revenue pay to payroll spreadsheet
- Maintain vacation/sick days calendar
- Assist with making driver schedules
- Assist with creating, posting, and assigning bids
- Coordinate with outside repair shops for trailer issues
- CDL holder with hazmat/tanker to move equipment
- Know something about our industry
- Assign trucks and trailers to drivers
Required Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:
At least 5 years of related experience. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Supervises the daily activities of support or production team members. Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors.
