JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for repairing and installing instrumentation and electrical equipment, performing tests and calibrations and troubleshooting equipment operational issues.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Four (4) or more years Related experience (Required)
- No Licensure or Certification Required.

Ability to work in confined spaces and wear self-contained breathing apparatus, Must meet all physical requirements , Must be able to travel, possibly overnight, Possess valid Driver’s License and able to drive 2-4 hours per day, Utilize hand tools in a safe manner, Ability to be on your feet for several hours a day, Meet and pass any DOT requirements, Work extended hours including extended day and/or night shifts, weekends, holidays, Work in extreme weather conditions, Work in areas where there are odors, chemicals, fumes, vibration, and high noise levels, May be required to work in a temporary supervisory capacity
- Must have completed all Tech 2 responsibilities
- Adds logic to PLCs/ Flow Computers
- Works with Process Controls with PLCs related issues
- Works with Process Controls department on SIS (Safety Information Systems) issues
- Works with IT dept on some communication issues
- Must be able to calibrate, install, and troubleshoot and perform maintenance on various instruments used for process control, alarms, and monitoring
- Troubleshoots, repairs and performs preventative maintenance on electric motor starters, control circuits and other electrical equipment
- Updates loop sheets and electrical schematics
- Inspects and maintains equipment and machinery as needed
- Works with Master Level Technician following all clearly defined policies and procedures
- May be responsible for completing all related DOT paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
- Works with the control room on daily issues
- Works with Hughes net on communication issues
- May need to inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, install, calibrate and maintain electrical equipment and systems of varying voltages including but not limited to 110V through 13,800V
- Performs other duties as assigned
