Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing.  The refining assets consist of refineries operated in Tyler and Big Spring, Texas, El Dorado, Arkansas and Krotz Springs, Louisiana with a combined nameplate crude throughput capacity of 302,000 barrels per day.

 

The logistics operations primarily consist of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek US Holdings, Inc.and its affiliates own approximately 63% (including the 2 percent general partner interest) of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek Logistics Partners, LP (NYSE:DKL) is a growth-oriented master limited partnership focused on owning and operating midstream energy infrastructure assets.

 

The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

The Sr. Asset Integrity Engineer reports to the Sr. Manager of Integrity Services and Projects. This position involves a diverse involvement in various aspects of the company’s business related to asset integrity. The individual is expected to be a seasoned technical professional with a broad understanding of asset integrity inspection programs and associated regulatory requirements. Candidate should have a strong background in integrity management and inspection methodologies, nondestructive testing, project management and experience working with a well-known inspection data management system (IDMS). Responsibilities may include:

  • Proactively initiates, develops and maintains effective working relationships with all members involved in a variety of projects.
  • Manage, lead and oversee Company’s Material Traceability (MTR) records review program.
  • Work with and support Integrity and other project teams to provide guidance and requirements for pipeline transportation projects in accordance with pipeline integrity and regulatory compliance criteria.
  • Required to assure collaboration and innovation for Company processes and data management programs.
  • Will manage and oversee other integrity and compliance professionals (contract or employees) to execute company related integrity and compliance obligations in areas such as ILI runs, MTR, MAOP verification, up-ratings, de-ratings, MOCs, etc.
  • Provide regulatory compliance assistance and troubleshooting to Integrity and other project teams on a project-by-project basis.
  • Will conduct pipeline applicability determinations, review class change for MAOP code, perform GIS data grading and as-built reviews and prepare results for integrity team and other teams, as needed.
  • Provides technical support for Project Engineers, Integrity Data Analysts, Records Administrators and GIS / ROW Technicians with company processes and data quality.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies
  • Using information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations and safety standards.
  • Analyze and improve existing processes to maximize productivity and reduce costs.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with outside contractors and vendors.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
  • Travel up to 20% to various DKL sites.

 

Basic/Required Qualifications:

  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
  • BS Engineering with concentration in Civil, Mechanical or Metallurgical or equivalent experience
  • 7-10 years’ experience working in pipeline operations, pipeline design and pipeline integrity; six plus years of experience desirable in pipeline repair and pipeline integrity issues such as corrosion control, pipeline assessment and fitness for service evaluation, risk management, DOT Code requirements and compliance.
  • The position requires a candidate with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • A highly developed ability with PC’s and office computer software is required.
  • Must be a self-starter and self-motivator, ability to perform effectively with minimal supervision
  • Must possess one of API 510, 570, 653 and 1169 or must be willing to attain some level of certification within 18 months of resumption.
  • Demonstrated Management and Leadership skills with an emphasis on mentoring and team building.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with integrity management of both facilities and pipelines with a focus on API 653 and other special emphasis programs.
  • Project Management experience
  • Completed Pipeline defects assessment training
  • Lean Six Sigma Trained/Certified
  • Prior experience with the development of Standards and Procedures related to Corrosion Management
  • Prior experience working with PODS, GIS
  • Prior experience with PCMS
