Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing.  The refining assets consist of refineries operated in Tyler and Big Spring, Texas, El Dorado, Arkansas and Krotz Springs, Louisiana with a combined nameplate crude throughput capacity of 302,000 barrels per day.


The logistics operations primarily consist of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek US Holdings, Inc.and its affiliates own approximately 63% (including the 2 percent general partner interest) of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek Logistics Partners, LP (NYSE:DKL) is a growth-oriented master limited partnership focused on owning and operating midstream energy infrastructure assets.


The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

Position Overview

The position is responsible for the asphalt marketing & sales in the Texas region

  • Comprehensive sales, marketing, and promotion of all asphalt products and specifications.
  • Monitor and facilitate asphalt market bid opportunities.  Follow up on all sales/quotas and collection procedures, when necessary.
  • Accurate pricing of products based on given costs factors.
  • Monitor and report current marketing conditions, opportunities and activities of competitors
  • Developing and strengthening our relations with all customers while providing a high level of “customer service”
  • Prepare, track and monitor sales commitments/forecasts on a weekly, monthly and annual basis.
  • Coordinate marketing efforts with Terminal and Technical operations to facilitate customer needs.  Forecast material consumption and communicate with Logistic operations to ensure product availability for manufacturing and sales
  • Adhere to any and all state and federal regulations, if applicable, as set forth by the US Department of Transportation (DOT), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSH), or any other regulatory body


The position offers a competitive compensation package, including base salary and incentive-based bonus, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

 Regularly scheduled travel is required.

Education and Professional Attainments:

The position requires an undergraduate degree in Business or related field.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Attributes:

  • The preferred candidate must possess the following knowledge, skills, must have strong relationships and contacts in the Mid-Continent asphalt market.
  • Minimum 5 years of related sales experience.
  • Ability to deal with national accounts in oil & gas industries, refinery and petrochemical.
  • Broad knowledge of asphalt and paving products, processes and specifications.
  • Understanding of commercial contract terms (T&M, cost plus, firm price, LSTK, etc.).
  • Experience leading proposal pricing reviews and special reports for management team.
  • Excellent customer and cross-functional communication skills, including writing, responding to RFP’s, dealing with all aspects of customer and sales force communications
  • Excellent collaboration and organization skills
  • A “doer” personality with a sense of urgency
