Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing.  The refining assets consist of refineries operated in Tyler and Big Spring, Texas, El Dorado, Arkansas and Krotz Springs, Louisiana with a combined nameplate crude throughput capacity of 302,000 barrels per day.

The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

Position Overview

The Mechanic installs, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains lubrication, hydraulics, power transmission, mechanics, steam and pneumatics systems throughout the facility.  This role creates parts from prints within specific tolerances.  The Mechanical Machinist/Millwright role ensures the facilities equipment and machinery is level, aligned and installed.  This role utilizes a variety of lathes, mills, cranes, lifts and hoists, to perform the required tasks.  

Desirable/Preferred Education

  • Post-secondary or technical degree in Industrial Maintenance or Machining
  • OSHA 10 or 30 hour certification

Required Experience

  • Demonstrated safety training in an industrial environment
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Proven mechanical and technical aptitude
  • Knowledge of and experience with industrial tools in order to make repairs to equipment
  • Demonstrated experience in inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining lubrication, hydraulics, power transmission, mechanics, steam and pneumatics systems
  • Ability to properly install bearings, shafts and gears, set backlash and able to align equipment
  • Demonstrated experience in utilizing lathes and high precision machining tools
  • Proven ability to safely operate forklifts, overhead cranes, man-lifts, etc.
  • Must be willing and able to work shifts, call-ins, holidays, and overtime
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams
  • Proven ability to utilize precision measuring tools, i.e. micrometers, calipers, leveling devices
  • Basic computer skills
  • 3-5 years of machining, millwright or industrial maintenance experienc
