Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing.  The refining assets consist of refineries operated in Tyler and Big Spring, Texas, El Dorado, Arkansas and Krotz Springs, Louisiana with a combined nameplate crude throughput capacity of 302,000 barrels per day.

The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The role of the Area Inspector is to lead the Fixed Equipment Mechanical Integrity (FEMI) Program

activities in their areas, with emphasis on ensuring work is done in accordance with industry standards

and associated Delek EP’s.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Fixed Equipment Inspection steward for their Area
  • Data collection / Stewardship for Area reviews (FEMI data, inspection stewardship).
  • Supervise inspection work within their Area (e.g. contractor API, NDE techs)
  • Support participant in Maintenance Strategy process.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma / General Education Degree
  • 5 years industry related experience
  • API 510, 570, or 653 certifications or any certification in UT/RT

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates degree or API certification
  • 10 years in Refinery inspection

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Typically work 4 days at 10 hours per day schedule – overtime as required
  • Travel is minimal, but could be required for shop inspections primarily for turnaround support other refineries
  • Be able to climb towers in excess of 200 feet
  • Breathing air certified
  • Be able to climb in vessels, towers, and confined spaces
