Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing.  The refining assets consist of refineries operated in Tyler and Big Spring, Texas, El Dorado, Arkansas and Krotz Springs, Louisiana with a combined nameplate crude throughput capacity of 302,000 barrels per day.

As an accomplished recruiter who leverages technology and strong relationship building skills, the University & Talent Community Program Professional will drive the implementation and execution of a best in class university relations & internship strategy to advance the company’s university presence and increase the ability to attract and recruit top talent. This position plays a critical role in enhancing the quality and effectiveness of the University Relations, Rotational Engineering and Internship Development Programs to ensure long-term success and conversion.


This position is located in our corporate office in Brentwood, TN and reports to the Director of Talent Acquisition.



The ideal University & Talent Community Program Professional will:

  • Successfully build, implement and execute a robust University Recruiting Program from the ground up;
  • Build the overall internship program to include an exceptional onboarding experience with developmental and exposure related components as well as program governance to ensure the program meets its stated objectives;
  • Develop long-term university relations strategy with targeted schools aligned to the recruitment needs of our business to enhance our presence and improve recruitment outcomes on selected campuses;
  • Collaborate on campus recruitment branding initiatives and analysis of effectiveness of marketing strategies;
  • Provide strategic direction for programs including review and revision of policies, determination of resource requirements, and incorporation of longer term organization objectives;
  • Partner with departments across the organization regarding university decisions on internship and undergraduate/graduate programs. Foster stakeholder engagement;
  • Cultivate relationships with appropriate deans, faculty, career services, admissions office, corporate relations office, student leaders and internal alumni from targeted schools to enhance outcomes;
  • Assess each Universities' performance to determine overall effectiveness; review analyses with key stakeholders; use data/feedback to make long term decisions related to each school, including conducting research/analysis on school data, demographics, placement statistics, school ratings, competitiveness and peer groups and majors and programs available to help formulate actionable plans to increase hiring success from these schools.
  • Responsible for temporary living arrangements (apartment move-in and move-out, roommate pairing, relocation of students) and rotational movement;
  • Conduct site visits during the internship program to ensure students are involved in an enriching experience.
  • Promote and manage efforts surrounding Diversity & Inclusion initiatives in university recruitment. Ensure compliance with EEO/Diversity policies including applicant flow logs.
  • Manage manager and intern feedback process to implement improvements to university relations activities.
  • Partner across HR and business stakeholders to staff campus events and interview schedules for each university.
  • Organize and participate in career fairs, info sessions, mixers and interviews at targeted schools.
  • Establish and maintain talent market expertise including comprehensive view of industry trends and competitors; provide expertise in market insights, talent landscape, telling the Delek story, and an understanding of talent needs
  • Design and deploy communication channels that keep program participants, hiring managers and the business informed and engaged.
  • Work with HRIS to produce monthly, quarterly, and annual specialized reporting for senior management to monitor efficacy of Delek’s campus recruitment efforts/programs;
  • Ensure ongoing integrity of data in the applicant tracking system (SAP SuccessFactors).
  • Provide an outstanding candidate experience.


To be considered for the University & Talent Community Program Professional role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing or related field;
  • Minimum of 7 years of corporate experience in full lifecycle recruiting with a minimum of 5 years’ experience building and implementing comprehensive University Recruiting Programs;
  • Strong record of success in planning & executing large-scale recruiting events and interview days;
  • Expert level of knowledge in all full lifecycle recruiting components including, but not limited to, sourcing, qualifying, networking, assessing, relationship management;
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders including candidates, diversity partners, campus personnel and business managers;
  • Proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a fast-paced, changing work environment with the ability to prioritize multiple functions, tasks and manage time efficiently;
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented problem solver with a burning desire to contribute to the organization's reputation and success.
  • Demonstrated discretion and great judgment, with the ability to interact comfortably and professionally with all levels of candidates and internal clients.
  • Strong demonstrated presentation, interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent attention to detail and a customer-service orientation.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, and Word).
  • Ability to travel as required in-order to fulfill the responsibilities of this position, estimated 50%-60% during peak recruiting season;
  • Understanding of employment law and compliance as it relates to recruiting.
