Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing.  The refining assets consist of refineries operated in Tyler and Big Spring, Texas, El Dorado, Arkansas and Krotz Springs, Louisiana with a combined nameplate crude throughput capacity of 302,000 barrels per day.

The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

Position Summary

The Senior Accountant of Product Inventory is responsible for reconciling, analyzing and reporting all refined product movement throughout the commercial system for a single refinery and related terminals and pipelines.  This includes accurate product inventory and valuation, production yields and business results bridges.  In addition to valuing the refined products monthly, this position is responsible for ensuring that transportation costs are properly accrued across all terminals and works closely with refinery personnel to verify that all in transit products and refinery losses are accounted for correctly. 

 

Responsibilites

  • Performs reconcilitations for assigned area, ensuring balances are recorded in the general ledger and reflected in the ERTM system as applicable.
  • Proactively identify, research, and resolve issues during the month end close.
  •  Assist the Accounting Supervisor with developing internal customer relations with all Departments accross all subsidiaries along with any related accounting and vendor  relationships to ensure that all Commercial and Corporate functions are accurately and timely supported with financial information requests.
  •  Prepare general journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations, ensure reconciliations are prepared and reconciling items are resolved timely. 
  •  Prepare and document performance of assigned controls.
  • Assists with external and internal auditors to coordinate the annual audit, quarterly reviews and any corproate internal audit projects.  Provides information and auditing schedules to the auditors as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required
  • 3 years of demonstrated experience in Accounting
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
  • Drive, high energy, maturity and ability to work under pressure and deliver results
  • Ability to identify process improvements
  • Advaned Excel skills
  • SAP, RightAngle and Blackline experience a plus
