The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for providing data analysis and reporting services for the Business Process Optimization (BPO) team’s strategic transformation and Portfolio governance efforts. They will research best practices and support developing the solutions and recommendations for Delek’s portfolio of strategic transformation programs. The BPO group provides business process improvement governance and a framework for integration of new processes as Delek expands. The BPO works to ensure the explicit definition of all major processes on Delek’s strategic transformation roadmap and how these major processes fit together. The Business Data Analyst is responsible for ensuring improved process performance through use of empirical measurement, helping to build and execute upon process solutions and measuring, and reporting on their outcome.



  • Support the leadership and direction of the Business Process Optimization group in alignment of Delek’s corporate vision, strategies, and initiatives
  • Gather and structure a large amount of information within Delek’s process and performance framework
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
  • Conduct process benchmarking studies, both general and project-specific
  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
  • Acquire data from various primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets for various applications / purposes
  • Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and various performance indicators to locate and correct process and/or system problems
  • Execute upon process improvement planning strategies and related process improvement workshops
  • Work with stakeholders to locate and define new process improvement opportunities
  • Business process visualization
  • Statistical analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, data mining
  • Data Analysis Reporting / Dashboard development
  • Assisting in developing or implementing systems to capture business operation information



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or other applicable field. Experience considered in lieu of degree
  • At least 2 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard / presentation development
  • Technical experience regarding data models, database design and development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software applications, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Visio


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Applicable Field
  • Petroleum industry experience
  • Experience writing and running queries in relational databases (i.e. SQL)
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, graphs, macros, lookups, etc.), Power BI, and Microsoft Access
