JOB SUMMARY

Sets up and operates automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing gas plant operation. Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications. Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • No Licensure or Certification Required.

  • Approximately 60%-100% of shift outdoors in a wide range of temperatures; Exposure to chemical vapors, high level of noise or heat that may require PPE, Work will be in 12 hour shifts
  • Required to follow all safety and environmental regulations and procedures
  • Accountable for the operations amine, condensate stabilization, mol – sieve dehydration, and residue gas compression
  • Analyzes specifications and controls continuous operation process units
  • Reads, operating logs, test results of amine samples, and laboratory recommendations to determine changes in equipment controls required to optimize processing
  • Takes readings within gas plant
  • Monitors and operates specialized equipment making adjustments as needed/authorized
  • Moves and sets controls, such as knobs, valves, switches, levers, and index arms, on control panels to control process variables
  • May control activities of several processing units operated in conjunction
  • Experienced Operators may be required to train/mentor Operator Trainees or entry level operators
  • Prepares equipment for maintenance and obtain work permits for maintenance, write up work orders so maintenance can be performed on specific equipment including LOTO
  • Must successfully complete refresher training as required
  • Must complete a detailed shift handover for next shift change
  • Reports and submits operating logs, and safety incident reports
  • Must be able to react in a timely manner to alarms that may sound while monitoring screens
  • Must perform all duties within the guidelines and rules of the plant
  • Occasionally within shift (1-33%): Weight lifted / force exerted up to 50 pounds
