The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

Complex II Manager (FCCU)


Provides leadership to the Complex II business team to align the team’s priorities with the refinery’s strategic focus and annual business plan.  This position manages the operations of the Complex to ensure safe, compliant, reliable, and efficient operation of the units.  Accountable for the overall business performance of the Complex by leading the business team.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the leader of the Complex area business team and accountable for the safe, compliant, reliable, and efficient operations of the units in the Complex.
  • Accountable for driving the company’s core values.
  • Accountable for the business performance of the Complex.
  • Supports all safety and environmental programs to ensure the facility operates in a manner that protects the health and safety of the employees, the community, protects the environment, and ensures compliance with permits and regulations.
  • Works as team with Operations, Maintenance, Technical Services, Safety, Environmental and Human Resources.
  • Ensures good communication is maintained within the Complex and across the refinery organizations.
  • Strives to maximize profitability and minimize cost and lost opportunities in the Complex.
  • Operates the Complex within the applicable governmental environmental guidelines.
  • Ensures administration of company policies is consistent within the Complex.
  • Communicates with Planning and Scheduling to assist in establishing the Operating plan to optimize the units and meet the plan.
  • Integrates and coordinates the process and maintenance work in the Complex through daily reviews with Operations and Maintenance.
  • Sets objectives for the Complex in areas of safety, environmental compliance, training and development, achieving targeted volumes and specifications at the lowest cost and development of the employees in the Complex.
  • Responsible for OARS and housekeeping within the Complex.
  • Delegates responsibility and authority to Area Superintendents and Engineers and holds them accountable for meeting objectives of the Complex. Reviews their performance periodically and provides developmental opportunities as required.
  • Rewards achievements, takes corrective measures as necessary, and applies appropriate disciplinary action as required.
  • Accountable for the Complex’s OPEX budget including development and execution.
  • Champions reliability and predictive and preventive maintenance in the Complex.
  • Provides adequate resources to support TAR planning and execution.

Leadership Capabilities:


  • As leader of the Complex team must ensure the employees are accountable for a safe, compliant, reliable and efficient operation of the Complex units.
  • Provides leadership to the Complex to execute the monthly operating plan (MOP) for the Complex units.
  • Leads the Complex employees to work as a team to achieve the objectives of Operations and the Refinery.

  • Must act with integrity in execution of the operating plan and OPEX budget.

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred or significant refinery experience


Minimum Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years in a refinery or related industry managing a complex
  • Demonstrated 5 years supervisory experience in Operations or Engineering
  • A solid understanding of business performance management processes and demonstrated experience in people development
