The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

Position Summary:

Responsible for the maintenance, installation and repairs of pumps, steam turbines, compressors, gearboxes, hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, and other related equipment in the refinery.

 

Major Accountabilities: 
•    Installs, maintains and repairs pumps both centrifugal and positive displacement, steam turbines, compressors (centrifugal and positive displacement), gearboxes (parallel shaft and right angle drive), hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, process loading arms, fans and blowers and drive systems associated with the equipment.  
•    Changes bearings in some electrical equipment
•    Tests, measures and monitors rotating equipment
•    Interprets mechanical drawings, equipment data books and maintenance manuals.
•    Participation on the Emergency Response Team
•    Follows all safety rules and guidelines established by the Refinery and participates in safety meetings, programs, field safety audits and VPP inspections.

Must be able to work extended hours and take 24- hour call, work weekends, nights and holidays

This position requires participation on the Emergency Response Team, successfully completing the pre-employment process and obtaining a TWIC card. 
 

Experience Requirement:     

Minimum 1 of year experience with rotating, fixed or instrument/electrical equipment in an industrial plant environment.

Previous experience with rotating equipment maintenance preferred but not required.

 

Education Requirement:
High School or GED degree required
