The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

JOB SUMMARY

Assists engineers and scientists with a variety of laboratory tasks. Performs chemical and/or physical analyses or scientific tests using both routine and special techniques in compliance with all safety and infection control standards. Analyzes and processes laboratory samples. Records results of tests, organizes data, performs basic computations, and prepares reports and analyses using standard procedures and guidelines.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Two (2) or more years Experience in a related field (Required)
  • No Licensure or Certification Required.

  • Inspects samples for contamination, homogeneity, and applicability of requested testing, and prepares samples for testing (filtration, dilution, and distribution to other areas of the lab).
  • Conducts tests such as, but not limited to, octane testing, pH analysis, testing viscosity.
  • Ensures accuracy and precision in compliance with established laboratory protocols.
  • Provides timely and accurate reports on process streams so tighter controls of process variables can be identified and implemented.
  • Identifies opportunities for improving laboratory’s performance and efficiency based on standard industry practices.
