The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.
Responsibilities include:
- Safely drive to and from various locations as dispatched.
- Ensure the correct products are safely being loaded and delivered at the correct location.
- Provide fantastic customer service.
- Obey all Department of Transportation safety regulations, all loading facility rules, and all applicable laws at all times as well as the Lion Oil Driver Manual.
- Maintain, clean, and perform regular inspections of all company owned and leased equipment.
- Maintain qualification to drive through mandatory physicals, drug screens, license renewals, etc.
- Attend mandatory safety meetings.
- Operation will include day cab units and sleeper units. From time to time, we may need a driver to swap from day cab to sleeper tractor or sleeper tractor to day cab tractor to fill in; drivers will need to be flexible to do this.
Required Qualifications – Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Preferably 2 years of driving experience with safe record.
- Class A commercial driver’s license with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
- Maintain qualification to drive as mandated by the Department of Transportation.
- Thorough understanding of hazardous materials pick-up and delivery procedures.
- Understanding of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations with an emphasis on the Hazardous Materials section of the regulations.
- Must be able to work day shift, night shift, weekends, and holidays. The Crude Oil Transportation business is 24/7/365.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time driving.
- Must be able to bend, lift, carry, connect, disconnect, mount, and dismount heavy pieces of equipment (i.e. commercial grade fuel delivery hoses) and without creating a safety hazard.
- Maintain authorization to load and unload product at facilities we conduct business with once authorized in the training process.
