Mechanic - Truck/Trailers - El Dorado, AR

The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

The Service Writer position for El Dorado, AR. DKL Transportation, LLC is a 275 tractor fleet looking for the below services provided by the Service Writer position.

• Service Writer for the DKL Transportation fleet- Reports to El Dorado location- services all locations from El Dorado
• Plans weekly and monthly preventative maintenance projections for tractors and cargo tanker fleet
• Provides and follows up on these reports to all locations and the maintenance director.
• Reviews all DVIRs and plans work for Technicians
• Maintains parts inventory including weekly inventory reconciliation         
• Manages maintenance system and software entries and reporting- DKL will provide training for current maintenance system- prior experience will be of value to the candidate
• In some instances general mechanic work in the shop area (PM Service, Oil Changes, Brakes, Changing Tires, etc.) may be required
• Knowledge of the maintenance aspect pertaining to class 8 tractors and cargo tankers
• Able to meet service and equipment deadlines
• Responsible for keeping work area clean
• Looks for equipment deficiencies outside of the job assignment
• Responsible for maintaining records and completing work orders for job assignments
• Maintains great working relationship with company staff including drivers
• Dependable

Requirements/Knowledge/Skills

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year of experience and/or Technical Certifications involving Class 8 Equipment
• Mechanical Certifications preferred
• CDL Class A license preferred
• Ability to follow directions from Shop Foreman and Maintenance Manager
• Ability to work safely
• Must have a portable mechanic toolbox

Day Shift - 7am to 4pm may vary 

M-F some Saturdays
