We are a boutique-sized diversified downstream energy company with a range of assets, including petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels, and convenience store retailing.

  • Our refineries in Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana have a combined crude capacity of 302,000 barrels per day
  • Our logistics business currently owns and operates 720 miles of crude and product pipelines, a 600-mile crude oil gathering system, and storage tanks and terminals.
  • Our Retail or convenience store part of Delek, runs over 250 stores in Texas and New Mexico. We also have company-branded New-to-Industry DK stores in the southern part of the US!
  • Our three renewables’ plants in Texas, Arkansas, and Mississippi combined can produce 40 million gallons of biodiesel fuel a year.

JOB SUMMARY

Manages the day-to-day operation and is accountable for ensuring reliable and cost-effective operation of assigned processing area(s), logistics and utilities, to optimize and achieve production goals of the refinery.

This role is essential in establishing and promoting a culture focused on safe, environmentally compliant, and reliable operations with the assigned area(s). This role provides leadership, motivation, training, and development of workforce; participates in continuous improvement activities as part of the site management team and ensures Company policies are followed in order to maintain a positive work culture.

All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, and vision of the organization. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Two (2) or more years supervisory/management (Required)
  • Eight (8) or more years Experience in a refinery, petrochemical or chemical role (Required)
  • No Licensure or Certification Required.

  • Physical ability to work on and around industrial equipment, including climbing of stairs, ladders and in confined spaces , Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, boots, hearing protection, respirator) , Ability to work a rotating shift schedule, holidays and overtime as required
  • Champions initiatives, projects, and programs that support refinery vision
  • Develops team’s capability to operate independently, with the ability to handle routine operational issues
  • Responsible for the development of direct reports; which also includes addressing routine personnel issues including training, coaching, counseling and disciplining subordinates
  • Accountable for ensuring process safety and safety compliance, supporting initial steps of incident investigations
  • Ensures emergency response preparedness, serving as initial incident commander
  • Supports reliability and maintenance work processes (i.e., work orders, quality, prioritization, etc.) 
  • Monitors progress of operations excellence KPIs, to drive continuous improvement of shift team
  • Responsible for development of operational excellence elements
  • Develops and drives accountability, leading within peer group to, to drive continuous improvement
  • Coordinates unit operations to optimize refinery operations and meet production targets
  • Accountable for operating within a safe and compliant operating window and hitting economic targets
  • Ensures effective and consistent application of collective bargaining agreements
  • Responsible for assuring all company policies, rules and guidelines are being followed and administered in a fair and consistent manner
  • Ensures effective training and qualification of shift team members
  • Responsible for human performance of direct reports to ensure compliance in process safety, safety, environmental, reliability, and cost goals of the refinery are achieved; ensuring consistent application of operation excellence processes
