JOB SUMMARY
The Sr. Reservoir Engineer is responsible for providing critical analysis and forecasting to support the company's midstream operations and growth strategies. This position focuses on evaluating producer well forecasts, studying reservoir performance, and analyzing fluid characteristics, with a particular emphasis on the Permian basin (Delaware and Midland). The insights generated by the Reservoir Engineer directly inform long-term planning, development engineering, business development activities, and process optimization efforts. The Sr. Reservoir Engineer must balance the needs of various internal customers with potentially conflicting and overlapping priorities through stakeholder engagement prioritization frameworks.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Required)
- Master's Degree (Preferred)
- In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Eight (8) or more years midstream or upstream oil & gas experience (Required)
- Preferred Certifications/Licensures: (Professional Engineering Licensure)

- Overnight travel to company locations and facilities for meetings, training, special projects, emergency planning, or information gathering will be required., Must maintain a valid driver’s license., Must be willing to submit to DOT random drug & alcohol screening.
- Leads the technical review of all producer forecasts in a key operational area, resolving complex discrepancies and challenging assumptions where necessary.
- Owns and refines forecasting models, incorporating advanced reservoir analysis techniques.
- Designs and builds comprehensive Long Term Planning forecast models by integrating market trends, well permit data, and advanced analysis.
- Presents forecasting results and technical recommendations to leadership and commercial teams.
- Own reservoir field development planning and SWD well placements.
- Proactively assesses fluid characteristics across systems to identify and recommend optimization opportunities to process engineering.
- Design and deliver effective reservoir engineering practices (Fluid characterization, Reservoir Surveillance, Production Forecasting, Material Balance, Reservoir Simulation, Reserves Estimation) to support all exploration, development, and production.
- Owns building and updating of reliable reservoir & network models, underpinning investment decisions, and business plans.
- Owns effective management of development and depletion plans for producing fields to maximize value and meet business plan targets.
- Determine remaining reservoir capacity at various SWD wells in compliance with industry standards.
- Mentor junior engineers on fluid property analysis and its impact on midstream assets.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting completion operations and performance.
- Provide engineering support related to reporting requirements.
- Present technical work to senior management, partners, and government representatives as needed.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Function as a resource for colleagues with less experience and support in solving complex problems.
- Implement best practices and technology improvements.
- Develop reservoir modeling company standards.
- Lead projects or project steps within broader initiatives.
- Interfaces with multidisciplinary teams (geology, production, drilling, and completions)
- Drive technical quality and influence key business decisions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience in the Permian basin (Midland, Delaware, or both) required.
- Familiarity and experience in the use of Eclipse, Petrel, Python, and Enverus.
- Willing to attend and participate industry-sponsored conferences, seminars, training, and summits.
