The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.
Job Summary:
The Manager of Midstream Asset Integrity and Corrosion is responsible for all integrity and corrosion management on DKL owner or operated midstream assets. The Manager will work closely with operations, maintenance, and compliance to ensure all midstream assets are operated safely and efficiently while meeting all regulatory requirements and compliant with industry standards and best practices. Other accountabilities include integration of new and upgraded assets and that all corrosion control measures are effective. The midstream assets include pipelines, facilities, storage tanks, and terminals in liquid, gas, and multiphase service.
Job Responsibilities:
- Enforce and maintain company safety policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Consistently maintain and demonstrate a high regard for personal safety, and for the safety of company assets, employees, and the general public.
- Ownership of all integrity related activities including the assessment planning, risk processes, anomaly investigations, defect repairs, preventive actions, and mitigative actions relating to asset integrity.
- Oversight of all corrosion management program.
- Coordinate the development and implementation of engineering standards, specifications, and policies & procedures required to support optimization of existing assets and troubleshoot operational issues.
- Develop, promote, and maintain positive working relationships with consultants, vendors, suppliers, contractors, and all departments within the company.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers, technologists, and technicians.
- Provide analytics and other information and feedback to senior management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:
- College graduate with a four-year Bachelor’s engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program.
- 10+ years’ progressive experience of hazardous liquids and/or gas midstream pipeline industry experience is preferred.
- Detailed knowledge of PHMSA regulations, DOT/PHMSA 49CFR195 and 49CFR192, Texas Railroad Commission regulations, standards, and rules.
- Deep knowledge of ASME, API, AMPP/NACE, and related industry standards and best practices
- Willing to attend and participate industry-sponsored conferences, seminars, training, and summits.
- Overnight travel to company locations and facilities for meetings, training, special projects, emergency planning, or information gathering will be required.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to obtain a TWIC card
- Must be willing to submit to DOT random drug & alcohol screening
Preferred Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:
- Master’s Degree in an ABET-Engineering program
- 15 years of progressive experience of hazardous liquids midstream pipeline industry experience.
- A Professional Engineering Licensure is desirable
