Job Summary:
The Integrity Engineer will support DKL Operations and Maintenance and be responsible for all inspection and integrity management aspects of midstream facilities including but not limited to pipelines, storage tanks, terminals, piping and pressure vessels.
Job Responsibilities:
- Enforce and maintain company safety policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Consistently maintain and demonstrate a high regard for personal safety, and for the safety of company assets, employees, and the general public.
- Develop and implement inspection plans for all static equipment including but not limited to, piping, pressure vessels and pressure relief devices owned or operated by DKL.
- Troubleshoot operational issues associated with fixed equipment in collaboration with discipline SMEs and Operations personnel in DKLs control center and in the field.
- Assist in the development of engineering standards, specifications, and policies & procedures required to support optimization of existing assets and troubleshoot operational issues.
- Manage the Inspection, Testing and Preventative Maintenance database and ensure all assets are managed within. Recommends effective inspection strategies to effectively mitigate degradation mechanisms in fixed equipment in accordance with good engineering and RBI practices.
- Manage the Facility Integrity Management program including inspection lifecycle, documentation for Plan Do Check Act, identifying and deploying preventative and mitigative measures and continuous evergreening of the program and associated standards and documents Collaborate with all members of the Asset Integrity Management team including corrosion control, pipeline integrity and tank integrity. Develops Integrity Operating Windows and corrosion analysis with the support and data integration from these team members.
- Supports all Asset Integrity Management goals and initiatives and cross trains to assist as needed on mainline pipeline assessments, tank inspections and corrosion control initiatives.
- Develop, promote, and maintain positive working relationships with consultants, vendors, suppliers, contractors, and all departments within the company.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers, technologists, and technicians.
- Provide analytics and other information and feedback to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:
At least 2 years of related experience. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:
- University graduate with a four-year Bachelor’s Engineering Degree from an ABET-accredited program.
- A minimum of five years of progressive experience in the oil and gas industry, specifically midstream.
- Working knowledge of pipelines and DOT/PHMSA regulations (49CFR195 and 49CFR192) and Texas Railroad Commission.
- Sound knowledge of ASME B31.4, B31.8. B31.8S, and B31G.
- Proven experience working with API 510, 570, 576, 579, 580, 653, and 1184.
- Willing to attend and participate in industry-sponsored conferences, seminars, and training.
- Up to 50% travel to company locations and facilities for meetings, training, special projects, emergency planning, or information gathering will be required.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to obtain a TWIC card.
- Must be willing to submit to DOT random drug & alcohol screening.
- Passing of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
- API 653, API 570, API 510, and API 580 certifications.
