The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

Job Summary:
Responsible for sustaining and continuously improving various mechanical and electrical components for equipment and tools. Ensures the safe, effective operations of the organization's production and supports continuous improvement. Manages reliability engineering projects and processes. Performs analytical verification. Evaluates, tests and tracks results of reliability interventions. Initiates reporting for internal or third-party reported incidents. Creates, documents and follows up on corrective actions. Prepares routine reports and memos and coordinate communications across all necessary functional groups of the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the activities of the Reliability engineers and maintenance crafts and specialists, to ensure process safety, safety, environmental, reliability, and cost goals of company’s midstream and terminal assets are achieved.
  • Champion external and industry benchmarking initiatives, projects, and programs that support the company’s midstream and terminal assets reliability vision.
  • Familiar with Solomon’s midstream benchmark studies and ways to improve system reliability using KPIs and metrics developed from such studies.
  • Utilize sound human relations and communications skills to provide development of direct reports and motivation of staff resulting in a reliable and competent work force.
  • Skilled in the utilization of ERP systems like SAP PM module for the development of maintenance processes and KPIs for reliability and work process improvement
  • Deep knowledge of functional failure prevention for rotating machineries as well as midstream SCADA problem solving.
  • Familiar with process improvement tools and applications of lean and six sigma methodologies for asset maintenance and reliability improvement
  • Interview candidates, determine development needs, evaluate performance, and address personnel issues including training, coaching, mentoring and disciplining of subordinates.
  • Ensure process safety, safety, and environmental compliance by supporting process hazard analysis, incident investigations, procedure development, management of change, and providing technical assistance for work scope development and assessment of reliability impacts on equipment.


Required Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:
At least 10 years of related experience. At least 3 years of management experience. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Master's or MBA degree typically preferred.

Preferred Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:


  • ASQ CRE or SMRP’s CMRP certification or equivalent.
  • Master’s in industrial engineering with a bachelor’s degree in any of the engineering fields of discipline.
  • Significant work experience in midstream maintenance and reliability organizations.
