Area Sales Manager - Dealer Channel (NC/SC)

Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing.  The refining assets consist of refineries operated in Tyler and Big Spring, Texas, El Dorado, Arkansas and Krotz Springs, Louisiana with a combined nameplate crude throughput capacity of 302,000 barrels per day.

 

The logistics operations primarily consist of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek US Holdings, Inc.and its affiliates own approximately 63% (including the 2 percent general partner interest) of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek Logistics Partners, LP (NYSE:DKL) is a growth-oriented master limited partnership focused on owning and operating midstream energy infrastructure assets.

 

The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

The Area Sales Manager’s primary responsibility is business development for the dealer channel of trade.  Business development includes: market intelligence, lead generation/qualification and development, prospecting, negotiating and closing supply agreements with convenience store dealers across the Southeast. Position reports to the Director of Business Development. Specific functions include:

 

  • Market development within assigned territory
  • Account prospecting
  • Contract negotiation and compliance
  • Communication of marketing programs and promotional activities
  • Branding economic analysis
  • Territory business plan development and reporting

     

    EDUCATION:

    BS/BA in Business Marketing or related field

     

    EXPERIENCE:

    Area managers must have a minimum of 3 years professional sales or marketing experience along with a strong background account acquisition.  

     

    Must have the ability to complete deals from prospect stage to close.  Needs knowledge and understanding of the factors influencing supply, demand, and pricing impacting the retail dealer channel of trade.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate and negotiate with others at all levels within and outside of the organization.   Ability to obtain market intelligence and provide recommendations based on the information gathered. Highly developed interpersonal skills required.  Must be able to use initiative and good judgment, knowledge of resources, and methods within the standards and procedures set by the department.  Ability to evaluate all aspects of a supply agreement and negotiate the best deal possible.  Requires skills in Microsoft Word, Excel. Must have ability to develop customer relationships quickly. Significant travel is required within sales territory.
