Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing. The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.
Summary
This fast paced highly demanding role is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual with a passion for winning, growth, and maximizing value who is committed to safety and integrity. Residing within Delek’s Canadian office located in Calgary, Alberta, this integral position in a small office will contribute to the satellite office success and will be exposed to Delek Refining’s marketing and trading activity across multiple commodities. The primary responsibilities of this role include complete ownership of scheduling/ logistics, contributing to Canadian analytics, and some commercial exposure/coverage. The winning candidate is highly self-motivated, resourceful, and resilient.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize all logistics initiating from DK Canada’s physical trading including pipeline movements, storage, and other modes of transportation as required.
- Interpret trades/ positions generating and tracking nominations ensuring accuracy across platforms.
- Responsible for physical position reporting to trading group with inventory positions and logistics updates.
- Manage inventory positions. Scheduling of sampling, mixing, heating, and trim blending as required.
- Work with and become a resident RightAngle ETRM system superuser.
- Maintain Canadian physical supply/demand balances including tracking pipeline tariffs, commodity movements, facility outages, and news updates.
- Provide periodic backup to the crude trader.
- Participate in weekly commercial conference calls.
- Build and foster strong relationships with industry counterparts to enhance trading and scheduling opportunities.
- Professionally represent DK Canada at industry meetings, events, and conferences.

- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). High Proficiency in Excel and programming functionality would be considered an asset
- Software literacy/expertise: RightAngle, North American pipeline nomination programs, and coding skills (VBA, Python, and/or R)
- Strong ability to build working relationships and contacts within the organization as well as within the industry, external regulators, vendors, and contractors.
- Excellent team player that thrives in an open trade floor environment with the ability to adapt to changing situations while handling competing demands.
- Ability to travel within North America.
Required Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:
- At least 2 years of related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of related experience in Oil Marketing/Trading with pipeline, terminal, and related operational crude oil scheduling background.
- Risk management/deal capture (ETRM) system experience with RightAngle experience an asset.
- Experience modelling the Canadian and North American crude markets supply/demand.
- Post- Secondary education with a bachelor's and/or diploma degree in business-related discipline.
