VP of Enterprise Information Management

Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing.  The refining assets consist of refineries operated in Tyler and Big Spring, Texas, El Dorado, Arkansas and Krotz Springs, Louisiana with a combined nameplate crude throughput capacity of 302,000 barrels per day.

The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

Purpose Statement:

The job of Vice President of Enterprise Information Management is done for the purpose/s of managing and providing the Enterprise Application Roadmap, ERP design, maintenance and operations support to all locations and offices; performing analysis and planning, determining requirements, and install and implement procedures; and supervising and evaluating the performance of assigned staff in the SAP and Enterprise Applications technology architecture unit.

 

Description and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate shall develop and execute the strategic plan relevant to the SAP EIM organization and lead the management and staff in the daily operations, projects and the continual evolution of SAP ERP, HRIS, PRA, and ETRM applications, among others. The position requires a thorough understanding and engagement in personnel management, change management, vendor management, financial management, continuity of service management, and key business contact management. The candidate shall possess knowledge of ERP sales and service business functionality in a Energy-related industry. Reporting to the global CIO, the candidate also serves as a member of the IT Leadership Team, planning for and collaborating on next generation technology and processes. The candidate should bring a strong commitment to customer service for the supported business stakeholders. Energetic support of the dynamic business needs is essential to success. As Delek IT gains momentum in driving digitalization, this candidate plays a significant leadership role in this journey. Ability to manage change must be clearly demonstrated by the successful candidate. This position is accountable as the ultimate IT system owner for all activities related to analysis, development, testing, support as well for the application lifecycle management and 24 x 7 support (Level 2 and 3) of the SAP and other systems functions. The successful candidate owns complete accountability for the cost center, department budget, and shares in accountability of the overall SAP and EIM Center of Excellence (CoE) budget. The Head of this group provides financial, operational, customer and personnel performance information in the form of KPIs and status reports on demand and in support of the regular and on-demand reporting. Oversight of the application management vendors are also key accountabilities. The incumbent oversees core activities of the management and staff. Identifies and implement continuous improvement and cost reduction opportunities to drive efficiencies in the service delivery processes. Works closely with other leaders and staff in the IT Leadership Group to ensure that barriers to meeting the IT mission are known and removed, and the Delek IT performance objectives and targets are met. In partnership with the IT Procurement team, evaluates, negotiates, develops and manages vendor relationships that strive to provide the highest value, lowest overall cost with highest quality service.

 

Educations / Experience / Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a desired major in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or Business Administration

• 10+ years of IT management experience

• 10+ years of IT experience with a concentration in delivering and supporting large-scale ERP and application services within an energy industry.

 

Specialized Knowledge Required

• Working knowledge of SAP HANA, Fiori, PRA, ECP, ECC, EC, etc.

• Strong leadership, people and change management skills

• Strategic thinking with a drive for continuous improvement

• Advanced understanding and application of management approaches for work direction, motivation, and performance management.

• Managing IT applications as part of a global operation

• Development and maintenance of executive IT and key stakeholder business relationships

• SAP ERP technology and implementation methodology

• Large-scale systems support in a 24 x 7 environment

• Experience with Systems and Data unification in a high-growth company

• Must align with the Delek Core Values

 

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

• MBA/Master’s Degree or Advanced degree

• Broad business knowledge and experience

• Strong communication skills, including communication with employees, clients, upper management and vendors

• Strong results orientation (driving to deadlines, financial targets, project goals, etc.)

• Ability to work collaboratively and partner with employees, leaders, clients and vendors

• Microsoft Office, Teams, Yammer, Circuit, or similar. collaboration tools

• Effective presentation skills

• Conflict resolution skills, reliability, assertiveness
