Staff General Accountant

Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, asphalt, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing. We are hiring for the position of Staff General Accountant located in our Brentwood, Tennessee corporate office.

 

Conducts and oversees accounting and financial analyses. Develops and prepares the organization’s financial plans, budgets, financial reports, and tax returns. Maintains good corporate relations with the investment and banking communities.

In the commercial accounting team, this position will help reconcile and review revenue and cost of sales accounts on a monthly basis. Additionally, this position is responsible for accurate valuation of Delek inventory.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Performs reconciliations for assigned area, ensuring balances recorded in the general ledger and reflected in the ERTM system as applicable.
  • Proactively identify, research, and resolve issues during the month end close.
  • Perform analysis designed to identify potential leases including but limited to surveying key stakeholders on a periodic basis and searching through transaction populations for lease indications
  • Prepare general journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations, ensure reconciliations are prepared and reconciling items are resolved timely.
  • Prepare and document performance of applicable controls.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Build and maintain working relationships with management, peers, internal audit staff and other stakeholders

 

Required Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required

 

Preferred Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:

  • 1-3 years of demonstrated experience in Accounting B.S. in Accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration required
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral
  • Drive, high energy, maturity and ability to work under pressure and deliver results
  • Detail-oriented, organized and thorough with a desire for continuous improvement
  • ERP, RightAngle and/or Blackline experience a plus
  • CPA designation preferred
