JOB SUMMARY
Plays a key role in optimizing Delek’s refineries and pipeline assets through the buying and/or selling of physical and financial crude oil or refined products. This role will also possess a foundational understanding of the crude oil market, basic hedging strategies, logistics operations, and process improvement methodologies.to ensure the organization can achieve their strategic financial objectives. By effectively assessing risk and utilizing market data information to contribute to financial growth.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Required)

In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Two (2) or more years Experience in hedging price risk exposure (Required)

Four (4) or more years Experience in a related field (Required)

No Licensure or Certification Required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
-
Extensive knowledge of logistics and crude oil or finished products infrastructure in North America.
-
Responsible for optimization of Delek’s refineries and pipeline assets through the buying and/or selling of physical and financial crude oil or refined products
-
Generates ideas for key assets to increase profitability and give flexibility to Delek’s overall position
-
Assesses and manages price risk exposure to protect the value of Delek’s assets and optimize profitability
-
Collaborates with Schedulers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of appropriate products and/or crude shipments
-
Manages and analyzes market fundamentals for [crude or finished products], including supply-demand dynamics and geopolitical factors

Pulls and understands ETRM exposure & profitability reports

Negotiates contracts for buying and/or selling of products/crude supply within limits of authority
-
Responsible for Risk Management; manages and mitigates pricing risk

Develops and maintains relationships with energy suppliers and brokers

Reviews competitive intelligence for all regions and reports recommendations to leaders

Evaluates and determines the economics of available products and/or crudes
-
Collaborates with other commercial teams to enhance Delek’s point of view and trading strategies, contributing to broader company goals and initiatives

Identifies and implements improvements in Delek’s commercial processes, striving to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in trading and asset management

Serves as a Mentor to Junior commercial members or less experienced Traders

Performs other duties as assigned

Applies extensive knowledge of logistics and key infrastructure in [PADD 2 and/or PADD 3 – based on region] to ensure effective trading decisions and alignment with operational needs

Ensures refineries’ supply requirements are met on a timely basis

Identifies and manages supply and trading issues impacting profit optimization at refineries

For trading Products: applies foundational understanding of commodity functions: risk, logistics, scheduling, comfortable taking positions and managing arbitrage opportunities and related risks, & applies knowledge to execute product trading strategies

Must have thorough understanding of buying/selling physical commodities, energy market knowledge, hedging strategies, financial trading, price risk exposure, and ETRM systems and reporting
