- Our refineries in Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana have a combined crude capacity of 302,000 barrels per day
- Our logistics business currently owns and operates 720 miles of crude and product pipelines, a 600-mile crude oil gathering system, and storage tanks and terminals.

Job Summary:
The Senior Manager, Retail Accounting will be responsible for leading and coordinating the accounting, financial close, and control processes for the retail segment of the company. The successful candidate will possess the necessary experience and skills to ensure accurate and timely accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. Attention to detail, collaboration, adaptability, and a focus on continuous improvement are essential qualities for this role.
This role will report to the VIce President, Accounting and report to our Brentwood, TN Corporate headquarters, hybrid schedule.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop, and mentor the retail accounting team, fostering a strong talent pool and cultivating future leaders.
- Manage and oversee daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual activities of the retail accounting function, ensuring timely and accurate results within an effective control environment.
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting transactions with a high level of accuracy and timeliness.
- Conduct trend analysis and analytical reviews to gain insights into the business segment's performance, acting as a financial partner to the retail operations team and facilitating a clear understanding of financial results.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to provide financial analysis and support for business initiatives and planning.
- Foster effective collaboration and relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, including retail operations personnel, project management, IT, tax, SEC, etc.
- Perform ad hoc analysis, financial reporting, modeling, and other projects as required.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to streamline and enhance the retail accounting function and other key processes, identifying and implementing new or modified processes to reduce cycle time and improve quality.
- Coordinate internal and external audit requests, including SOX controls and walkthroughs, ensuring compliance and efficient resolution of audit-related matters.
Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:
- At least 8 years of role relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MAcc) or CPA or equivalent certification.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making abilities
- SAP, S/4 Hana and retail accounting systems (e.g., PDI) preferred
