Sr Learning Consultant

We are hiring for the position of Senior Learning Consultant. This position can be fully remote or located in the El Dorado, Arkansas corporate building.

 

Responsible for the effective development, coordination and presentation of learning and development programs for Logistics employees. Applies adult-learning theories to assess, design, deliver and evaluate skills and compliance training initiatives.  Collaborates with operations, safety, security and environmental stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate employee training requirements.

Role & Responsibilities:

  1. Designs and delivers compliance and performance improvement initiatives; consults with subject matter experts and leadership in order to implement successful initiatives.
  2. Identifies and prioritizes performance gaps, diagnoses root causes, and collaborates with management to deliver effective learning solutions.
  3. Manages training vendor relationships to include evaluation and providing feedback to help improve the impact of programs and courses.
  4. Works with Program Managers and/or vendors to manage learning programs and initiatives. 
  5. Builds training plan, formulates teaching outline and determines delivery methods (e.g., instructor-led, virtual, web-based/e-learning, individual instruction, self-study, etc.).
  6. Delivers training to all levels of employees.
  7. Measures pre- and post-training performance using established training metrics to evaluate effectiveness in meeting stated outcomes.
  8. Conducts group training sessions as well as individual training to newly assigned employees.
  9. Provides coaching to other team members to enhance team performance.  Develops and reviews training content as directed.

  11. Maintains training records for all Control Center operators to ensure compliance and remain audit-ready.
  12. Utilizes various training tools and techniques to train/qualify team members on normal, emergency and abnormal operating conditions.


Required Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:
At least 5 years of related experience. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Master's or MBA degree typically preferred.

Preferred Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:
-Minimum Bachelor’s degree in related field, CPLP or 8 years of directly related experience required.
-Minimum of 6 years of training experience, with specific experience in designing and delivering training related to employee technical skills and competencies required

Organizational Leveling:
Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines. Solves complex problems. Works independently, receives minimal guidance. May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or may have accountability for on-going activities or objectives. Acts as a resource for those with less experience. Level at which career may stabilize for many years or until retirement.
