Sr Financial Planning Analyst

The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

Job Summary:

The Sr. Financial Planning Analyst will be responsible for gathering and analyzing financial data and using the data to help our Logistics Business Unit in making business decisions. Performs economic research and studies of rates of return, depreciation and investments. Analyzes profit-and-loss income statements and prepares reports and recommendations to management. Generates forecasts and analyzes trends in sales, finance and other areas of business. Researches economic progressions to assist the organization's financial planning. Creates financial models of "what if" scenarios for future business planning decisions in areas such as new product development, new marketing strategies, etc.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages.
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analyses of financial and statistical data. -Participate in Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting processes.
  • Support ad hoc reports and/or analyses as necessary.
  • Assist with developing presentations for senior management / operations.
  • Maintain complex excel spreadsheets for various financial needs.

 

Required Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience: Typical Minimum Requirements: At least 2 years of related experience. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
