Sr Commercial Operations Analyst

Job Summary:
Prepares operations analyses, including analysis of competitors, operational effectiveness and capacity utilization, and makes recommendations for improvement. Develops process analyses, designs and simulations. Requires a solid understanding of the organization's business operations and industry and possesses strong analytical skills. Provides statistical information to ensure the most effective utilization of personnel, equipment and materials for electric and/or gas operations. Performs analyses of the operation's cost elements to ensure effective and efficient operations. May track, maintain and provide current information on the operation's business scorecard.

Job Responsibilities:
-Provide daily, weekly and monthly updates on performance with regards to operations KPIs to field and leadership teams.
-Heavy involvement in the annual budgeting process
-Support Business Intelligence team with forecasting, updating BI reports and data modeling as needed
-Ability to create and present data-based business recommendations to senior management
-Collaborate as appropriate with business partners across the company to support larger projects and/or ad hoc requests

Required Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:
At least 5 years of related experience. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Master's or MBA degree typically preferred.

Preferred Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:
-Minimum B.S. degree in business, economics, math or related field
-Advanced spreadsheet skills
-Strong drive for learning new things and creating value for the business
-Prior experience with using business intelligence tools such as Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI etc. is a big plus
-Knowledge of financial statements
