The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.


Delek seeks a Senior Vice President - Health, Safety and Environment to lead and advance the HSE function to maximize the safety culture, minimize incidents, and to implement next-generation innovations that enable a step-change in HSE performance and operating efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring broad experience, leadership and success in implementing both behavioral-based and process-based safety programs to achieve continuous improvement in the industry-standard HSE performance metrics (i.e. LTIR, TRIR, EMR,  etc.) as  well as experience in leading corporate Environmental,  Social and Governance compliance ("ESG") efforts. In addition, he/she should possess a passion for innovation in the HSE 2.0 arena including: the utilization of advanced IT tools, Big Data techniques, predictive analytics (AI/machine learning), robotics/drone applications, and/or augmented reality tools and their potential application to increase operational efficiencies and HSE performance within their midstream, downstream and retail operations.



  • Provide overall leadership for Delek’s HSE efforts while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, zero-incident mindset, individual ownership, organizational pride, and innovative problem-solving.
  • To advance Delek's ESG strategy, building a long-view framework to help guide the Company in addressing ESG issues, now and in the future.
  • Maintain close alignment, communication, and collaboration between the HSE department and operational leadership teams with a strong focus on executing strategies that serve the unique business needs, operational profiles, and risk tolerances for each of the respective business units.
  • Develop and direct short-term and long-term HSE organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operational procedures. Continuously monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), evaluate the effectiveness of efforts and initiatives, and develop and implement changes required for continual improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies (i.e., OSHA, EPA, DEQ, DOT, etc.). Monitor and anticipate changes or developments in applicable regulations and pro-actively plan for and address within the business units with minimal disruption to their respective operations.
  • Review and deliver improvements to current HSE policies and procedures including but not limited to HSE management programs, employee training programs, safety and environmental incident response, and emergency/disaster response.
  • Communicate HSE performance and emerging trends inside and outside of the operating area to the executive leadership team and lead development and execution of mitigation strategies to reduce and prevent recurrence of incidents.
  • Communicate all significant/catastrophic HSE incidents (i.e., major injury, fatality, spill, incident involving public, etc.) to executive management in real-time. Coordinate and manage external crisis communications efforts in close conjunction with the executive team.
