SAP Senior Basis Analyst

The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

Position Summary

The Sr SAP Basis Analyst is responsible for the implementation and support of SAP's basis administration across Delek’s SAP landscape. Additionally this role will have key operational responsibility for the SAP landscape including monitoring, transport management, OSS note application and troubleshooting problems. This role uses subject matter knowledge to assist with the creation and maintenance of standards, guidelines, and procedures. The Sr. SAP Basis Analyst is expected to work with internal business units and IT staff, third party external vendors, contractors, and other areas of the business to analyze requirements and establish deliverables, dates, and scope using standard PMO methodology.



  • Manage Cloud Operation on the SAP HEC and MS ACP
  • Manage day-to-day operational communication on the health of the system
  • Lead for SAP systems (ECC, BW, SCM, CRM, SRM, HCM, etc.)
  • Provide high-level architecture, system sizing, and infrastructure requirements definition for future state SAP landscapes
  • Support system migration readiness assessment efforts
  • Evaluate version and module compatibility to inform upgrade approach
  • Recommend upgrade approach and options aligned to customer business needs
  • Support Data Volume Management (DVM) processes
  • Advise on SAP Basis support and process best practice
  • Provide maintenance, problem handling and report preparation activities for clients
  • Perform root cause analysis for clients’ problems and provide accurate documentation to client in a timely and effective manner
  • Establish technical knowledge in three or more technical areas outside of SAP ERP products
  • Provide recommendations and guidance for the tuning and optimization SAP landscape
  • Lead project deliverables on schedule and accurately
  • Actively participate in the knowledge transfer and sharing process with other consultants
  • Successful creation of client landscapes, client copies, upgrades, patches and migrations
  • Collaborate with technical sales
  • Communicate any potential client issue to Delivery Manager if escalation is necessary
  • Keep informed of current and future Industry Trends



  • BA/BS from four-year College / University
  • 5 years or more experience with SAP in IT function
  • Experience installing and administration of Fiori App, Single Sign On and Outlook Integration
  • Must possess excellent awareness of current trends in application development methodologies
  • Candidates should be very organized and have a flexible approach to operate in demanding, fast paced environment
  • Working experience in large corporate environment across multiple time zones
  • The ability to work on cutting edge technology within a global organization
  • Configuring, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting SAP environment


Preferred Qualifications

  • Masters degree
  • Experience in Oil and Energy sector preferred.
  • SAP basis administration certification preferred.
  • Experience with the following are highly preferred; SAP ERP, Enterprise Portal, Transportation Management, Event Management, Process Integration, Process Orchestration, Global Trade Services, GRC, MII, Solution Manager, Master Data Governance, S/4HANA, Gateway, SLT, Cloud Connector, Web Dispatcher, MI
