Lead Middle Office Analyst

Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, asphalt, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing. We are hiring for the position of Commodity Risk Analyst located in our Brentwood, Tennessee corporate office.


This role is part of the Middle Office group, in Brentwood, TN, reporting to the Director, Middle Office and is responsible for accurately reporting, monitoring, and analysis on the risks and volumes associated with physical and financial positions. The Middle Office is part of the Finance organization and independently monitors portfolio parameters within the Board-approved risk management policies and guidelines while also supporting the Commercial Organization’s strategic goals and margin targets.


The Middle Office group is the primary owner of Delek’s ETRM (Energy Trading & Risk Management) which integrates the business processes, organizational accountabilities, reporting, and workflows associated with managing market exposure and commodity risk.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Delek’s ETRM, Rightangle, to analyze market performance, compliance with Board-approved risk limits, and produce ad-hoc analysis supporting strategic targets and initiatives
  • Analyze and report on the commodity portfolios comprising both financial and physical transactions
  • Adhere to financial controls ensuring transparency, accuracy, and completeness of portfolio profitability, volumetric positions, and market risk
  • Perform deep-dive analytics as requested by the trading organization, senior leadership, finance, and legal business partners on market trends and emerging risk
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and take corrective actions to assist end-users with Rightangle system-related challenges
  • Proactively improve processes, procedures, and existing processes to automate and create efficiencies
  • Develop collaborative working relationships across Delek
  • Coach and train junior staff members
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a finance, mathematical, or similar related field
  • Experience with physical markets and controlling financial risk
  • Experience reporting mark-to-market and volumetric portfolio metrics
  • ETRM experience required: Rightangle is preferred but other ETRM systems will be considered
