JOB SUMMARY
The Lead Commodities Market Research Analyst will play a critical role in supporting Delek's growth and efficiency through strategic negotiations, contract management, and asset optimization. This individual will be responsible for helping negotiate or renegotiate long-term commercial agreements, providing valuable analytics on asset management, and ensuring that Delek’s commercial strategies align with regulatory requirements and industry changes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of commercial agreements, regulatory environments, and asset management with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Required)
- Master's Degree (Preferred)
- In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Ten (10) or more years experience in commercial contract negotiations, asset management, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in negotiating complex agreements (Required)
- No Licensure or Certification Required.

- Support Delek in negotiating or renegotiating long-term commercial agreements, including purchase/sale term deals, and transportation/storage agreements. Ensure agreements maximize value while properly addressing all commercial risks.
- Work closely with the Commercial, Legal, and Logistics teams to ensure that contracts align with the company’s goals, maximize value, and address potential commercial risks appropriately.
- Assess and quantify the value proposition and associated risks of key commercial agreements. Provide actionable insights to senior leadership on how best to approach commercial negotiations to benefit Delek.
- Analyze and provide strategic recommendations on Delek's asset footprint to maximize asset optimization. Develop insights into asset utilization and identify opportunities to improve the company’s operational and financial performance.
- Serve as the commercial subject matter expert on regulatory outputs from agencies such as FERC and the TX RRC. Provide insights into how regulatory changes may impact Delek’s assets and commitments.
- Deep understanding of regulatory agencies (FERC, TX RRC) and their impact on commercial agreements. Expertise in assessing and quantifying commercial risks and asset optimization strategies.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (commercial, legal, logistics) and senior leadership.
