Financial Analyst - Capital Projects

Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing.  The refining assets consist of refineries operated in Tyler and Big Spring, Texas, El Dorado, Arkansas and Krotz Springs, Louisiana with a combined nameplate crude throughput capacity of 302,000 barrels per day.

 

The logistics operations primarily consist of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek US Holdings, Inc.and its affiliates own approximately 63% (including the 2 percent general partner interest) of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek Logistics Partners, LP (NYSE:DKL) is a growth-oriented master limited partnership focused on owning and operating midstream energy infrastructure assets.

 

The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

Role Summary

The Financial Analyst will be integral to the organization they support; providing reliable, effective analysis that facilitates appropriate and timely business decisions.  This role reports to the Director of Metrics and Reporting supporting all Delek segments, companies and business units (BUs).

 

Key Job Accountabilities

  • Identify financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
  • Improve financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management
  • Review Authorization for Expenditures (AFEs) submitted by various Business Units to ensure information is properly documented and accurate
  • Assist and actively engage in planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
  • Serve as an accessible resource for capital spending processes and procedures to all business units
  • Maintain the capital spending database by entering, verifying, and backing up data
  • Support in the development of AFE templates and cost tracking reports
  • Build and track capital spending benchmarks at a consolidated level
  • Support process improvement efforts
  • Document and maintain workflows for existing processes
  • Protect operations by keeping financial information confidential
  • Complete Ad Hoc reporting on an as needed basis

 

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, business administration, or related areas
  • Ability to successfully prioritize and complete multiple tasks, collaborating with diverse teams
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Superior excel skills
  • Proven analytical problem solving skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and assignments
  • Excellent communication skills, in both oral and written forms, with all levels of the organization including Executive Management, vendors and contractors
  • Ability to manipulate large amounts of data into a presentable format.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and solutions in simple language (business jargon not needed) to your team, and executives, contractors, and regulatory officials
  • Must pass drug test and background check
  • Must be Legally Authorized­ to Work in the United States
