EVP, Chief Technology & Digital Officer

The Chief Digital Officer is responsible for driving growth and innovation by transforming the business into a digital one focused on tools, platforms and technologies services and processes.  This position will also have responsibility to oversee the company's data management and information technology strategies to ensure the organization has the data architecture, governance and technology to support business operations and efficiencies. 

Responsibilites

  • Overall responsibility for the adoption of enterprise technologies across the business.
  • Be an advocate and champion of change, helping to drive innovative thinking across the enterprise ecosystems. While the CDO will have overall and primary responsibility for technology capability and organization, the new CDO will be given the mandate for leading a larger scale change and leveraging digital technologies.
  • Grow the digital (analytics, machine based learning, artificial intelligence, internet of things, etc.) competencies to add value to the business, reduce unnecessary work/tasks, increase productivity, and drive business transformational opportunities.
  • Develop and implement digital strategy (big data and analytics, application development and deployment, cross-functional collaboration and digital-related business development) which includes developing key strategies/technology programs to become more efficient, lean, innovative and cost effective and staying on top of industry and out-of-industry technology trends/innovations and sharing these insights with other key business leaders and implementing relevant learnings into new strategies.
  • Provide strategic and tactical planning, development, evaluation, and coordination of the information and technology systems for the business.
  • Develop strong relationships and partner with executives and business leaders to develop the multi-year IT and digital strategy to support business goals and initiatives.
  • Serve as a liaison between the business units and IT, conveying clear communication and strategic vision.
  • Build and inspire a flexible, responsive and credible IT organization that has a high sense of urgency and is focused on delivering business value.
  • Champion the development of IT leadership and professional talent, ensuring that effective IT leadership is in place and succession bench strength is defined.

 

Required Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science required. Master's degree in Information Management or a related field preferred.
  • 10 years professional and/or leadership experience in information systems required

 

Preferred Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience leading Systems, Software and IT professionals, and managing departments and functions related to information handling, workflows and systems.
  • Strong knowledge based in Quality Improvement (QI) principles. Experience and/or Certification in Lean or Lean Six Sigma, preferred.
