Director, Financial Systems Transformation

Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, asphalt, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing. We are hiring for the position of Director, Financial Systems Transformation located in our Brentwood, Tennessee corporate office.


This position will serve as a leader of Delek’s financial system and serve as the liaison between the Finance function and the IT teams. Important to this role is to analyze and measure the effectiveness of existing business processes, and accounting/finance technical issues and to develop or recommend sustainable, repeatable, and, to the extent possible, automated process and reporting functionality within the financial landscape. The role will also include the need to research best business practices within and outside the organization/industry to establish benchmark data.


This leader may specialize in several of the following areas: Accounting and Business process technical analysis and reengineering, change management and measurement, and/or process-driven systems requirements. Key to this role will be an individual with project management experience and the ability to move key implementation issues forward.

Role & Responsibilities:

Delek will kick off the implementation of a cloud ERP platform in 2021.  The scope will include finance, maintenance, and supply chain functionality.  The Director of Finance, ERP, reporting to the VP, Corporate Controller, will be responsible for building Delek’s Finance internal project team, working with Delek Executives and IT team, and our selected solutions integrator (SI).  Once complete the role will transition to a director role in the finance organization responsible for operations and support of the solution in addition to other accounting roles.


Delek is looking for an experienced finance professional to lead our internal finance project team through the upcoming implementation.  Key responsibilities for this role include;

  • Proven track record managing IT project teams.  Either as a corporate manager (internal lead) or as a consultant.
  • Strong accounting / finance technical experience and business process understanding.
  • Deep knowledge of an ERP’s financial functionality (preferably SAP Hana S/4) and integration with financial systems.
  • Ability to manage a dispersed team in a virtual project environment.
  • Ability to develop a super user network, including role definition and sustainability planning including training materials.
  • Familiar with MS Office tools (Word, Excel) and common collaboration tools including MS Teams, etc.
  • Experience in the refining, downstream Oil and Gas industry highly preferred
  • Experience leading/managing change efforts (OCM) in an organization
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken mediums

Required Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:

More than 15 years of related experience. At least 5 years of management experience. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. CPA
