JOB SUMMARY
The Equipment and Facilities Infrastructure Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the equipment and facilities of an organization. They play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing the physical infrastructure and ensuring that all equipment is functioning properly. This role requires strong organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- No Licensure or Certification Required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- The Facility Manager will manage the on-site contractors performing daily work.
- The Facility Manager will have on average 10 to 15 direct reports each day.
- Administer and enforce safety rules and objectives within the department including conducting regular safety meetings.
- Manage and maintain all equipment and facilities, including but not limited to, machinery and physical infrastructure.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs, upgrades, and maintenance services as needed.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all equipment, ensuring that records are up to date and properly documented.
- Manage and allocate resources effectively to ensure that equipment and facility needs are met within budget constraints.
- Implement and in some cases develop a preventive maintenance program to minimize equipment downtime and reduce repair costs.
- Control mechanical expenses within established budget and actively pursue cost reduction opportunities.
- Establish productivity expectations and track the production and activity of the mechanic workforce.
- Develop and recommend annual strategic plans and budgets for infrastructure repairs, HVAC repairs or replacements, equipment inventory, and equipment rental upkeep and purchases.
- Audit and inspect buildings, sites and equipment for appearance, repairs, and maintenance work.
- Ensuring employee/Contractors and site safety through the implementation of procedures and policies and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Plan, justify funds, understand impacts to production, and manage work.
- Monitors and appraises progress to ensure productivity, work quality and schedule adherence.
- Ensures work orders are satisfactorily completed and properly closed out.
- Manages daily activities related to manpower, accomplishments, and problem areas to management.
- Coordinate with Contractors and their management to ensure that the site is stocked with the proper inventory of maintenance equipment needed to perform job safety and efficiently.
- Document compliance and non-compliance activities.
- Identifying the barriers to effective performance and resolving those barriers through constant monitoring, coaching and development interventions.
- Ensuring field documentation is correct and validated. (Critical lift, equipment inspections, WAP, JSA, fuel meters, and rental equipment)
- Measuring key performance indicators (KPIs) involves capturing specific data and converting it into useful metrics that can be measured and reported in easily digestible charts and dashboards.
- Meet with contractors to review KPI’s and make adjustments as needed based on KPI information.
- Build engagement through positive working relationships and leadership by embodying core competencies for contractor department.
