Job Summary:
Manages environmental inspection programs that require strong interface with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering departments. Ensures compliance with agency regulations through overseeing program execution, field inspection, recordkeeping, reporting, and quality assurance activities. Evaluate and implement process improvement projects or programs to optimize program performance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supports reporting and recordkeeping as required by company, environmental regulations and Title V permits. Monitors compliance metrics. Ensures timely, accurate reports are submitted to regulatory agencies.
- Tracks Title V permit deviations and performs metrics to identify areas of improvement.
- Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with regulatory agencies during field inspections and environmental incidents.
- Provides technical and regulatory guidance to refinery personnel. Evaluates/interprets environmental regulations to determine applicability. Identifies air compliance obligations and compliance requirements. Coordinates with Corporate Affairs for updates on legislative and regulatory activities impacting refinery. Develops and implements, with management’s approval, cost-effective solutions to mitigate environmental risks.
- Serves as technical liaison between Environmental, other refinery departments and external regulatory agencies as needed.
- Participates in projects, Management of Change (MOC) reviews to identify environmental requirements.
- Assist and support environmental department programs when and where needed.
Required Qualifications – Education, Skills & Experience:
At least 2 years of related experience. Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
