Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing.  The refining assets consist of refineries operated in Tyler and Big Spring, Texas, El Dorado, Arkansas and Krotz Springs, Louisiana with a combined nameplate crude throughput capacity of 302,000 barrels per day.

 

The logistics operations primarily consist of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek US Holdings, Inc.and its affiliates own approximately 63% (including the 2 percent general partner interest) of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek Logistics Partners, LP (NYSE:DKL) is a growth-oriented master limited partnership focused on owning and operating midstream energy infrastructure assets.

 

The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The EHS technician will assist in the oversite of the safety and environmental programs for Delek Logistics. This person will maintain control over inventory, participate heavily in emergency response, and assist in any other EHS activities

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Assits in compliance of safety programs and work procedures, associated with federal, state, and local regulations and Company policies.
  • Assists in implementation of EHS manuals, programs, procedures, and standards.
  • Assists EHS with site safety orientation for all new contract and Delek personnel
  • Ensure all daily, weekly or monthly reports as required and submit to EHS Manager or Director as directed.
  • Maintain a field presence focusing on safety and environmental activites.
  • Maintain effective communication as needed with all levels of employees, management and applicable Federal, State, and Local regulatory agencies and consultants. .
  • Maintains spill inventory at all warehouses including inspections and refilling of stations and trailers.
  • Perform stomwater and SPCC inspections
  • Performs boom deployment drills for all facilities
  • Perform boom maintaince for spill sites
  • Works closely with the EHS manager to make sure FRP/OPA 90/ EAP activities are being completed
  • Participate and help conduct emergency response drills
  • Perform air, soil, and water sampling
  • Perform IH sampling
  • Responsible for all EHS sampling equipment, media, and inventory
  • Conduct Emergency response audits of all locations
  • Enter Incidents into Gensuite
  • Fufills ICS roles during site emergencies
  • Complete technical reports on incidents and releases for DKl legal, Risk and outside agencies
  • Assist in investigation of  all accidents/incidents and complete required reporting practices; conduct RCA of each accident/incident. Identify potential trend development that may affect safety, health and environmental programs.
  • Assist in insuring required training is completed by all company personnel and conduct training as required to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements
  • Will be utilized in East Texas, West Texas, Arkansas, and Tennessee

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Must have a minimum of 2 year of experience in safety sensitive positions.

  • Must have 2-4 year of experience with emergency response

  • Must have knowledge of midstream industry

  • Must have knowledge of safe operating procedures and safe work practices for all equipment used.

  • Must maintain a good working relationship with company employees, contractors, and customers. 

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Prefered bachelors degree in safety, environmental science, biology, industrial hygiene or another similar degree in the sciences or an ASP certificate
  • Preferred 2 years eperience in sampling applications for water, soil, and air
  • Preferred 2 years experience in midstream operations
  • Preferred 2 years of experience fulfilling ICS roles
  • Preferred experience with training
  • Preferred experience in technical report writing
  • Preferred experience with drone flight imagery

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be willing and able to work in a corporate office and field environment.
  • Must be willing and able to work in the outside in the field environment, in all types of climatic conditions.
  • Must be willing and able to carry a company provided cell phone and respond as needed 24/7.
  • Must be willing to travel for scheduled and unscheduled work
  • Must be willing to travel to Arkansas, East Texas, West Texas, and Tennessee as needed.
  • Travel can be up to 70% of the time
  • Must be able to be on their feet for up to 12 hours a day.
  • Must be able to work during the night if needed
  • ​​Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds
