Role Overview

 

Delek US Holdings and Delek Logistics Partners are seeking a Senior Director of Data & AI to lead and accelerate enterprise-wide data and artificial intelligence capabilities across both organizations. This role sits within DKT (Delek Technology) and is a key member of the DKT leadership team, reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO).

 

 

This is a high-impact, strategic leadership position responsible for defining and executing a unified data and AI vision that enables scalable growth, operational excellence, and sustained competitive advantage across a complex, asset-intensive business spanning refining, logistics, and retail operations.

 

 

The Senior Director will serve as the enterprise authority on data strategy, analytics, and AI innovation—driving transformation from traditional reporting environments to a modern, intelligence-driven organization.

 

 


 

Key Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Data & AI Strategy

    • Define and lead the long-term data and AI strategy aligned with corporate objectives across Delek US and Delek Logistics.

    • Establish a scalable, future-ready data ecosystem that supports advanced analytics, real-time insights, and AI-driven decision-making.

  • Data Platform Modernization

    • Oversee the design and evolution of modern data platforms, including cloud-based architectures, data lakes, and real-time data pipelines.

    • Ensure high availability, scalability, performance, and security of enterprise data assets.

  • Advanced Analytics & Business Intelligence

    • Elevate business intelligence capabilities from descriptive reporting to predictive and prescriptive analytics.

    • Partner with business leaders to embed data-driven decision-making into core operational and commercial processes.

  • AI/ML Innovation & Deployment

    • Lead the development and deployment of AI/ML use cases that drive measurable business value (e.g., optimization, forecasting, automation).

    • Establish governance and frameworks for responsible, scalable AI adoption.

  • Data Governance & Quality

    • Implement enterprise-wide data governance, data quality standards, and master data management practices.

    • Ensure regulatory compliance and alignment with cybersecurity and risk management frameworks.

  • Business Partnership & Value Realization

    • Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, translating business priorities into data and AI initiatives with clear ROI.

    • Drive cross-functional alignment across operations, supply chain, commercial, and finance teams.

 


 

Leadership & Organizational Scope

  • Direct leadership of:

    • Director of Business Intelligence

    • Senior Manager of Data Engineering

    • AI Team (Data Scientists / ML Engineers / AI Specialists)

  • Build and scale a high-performing, multidisciplinary organization spanning data engineering, analytics, and AI.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement within DKT.

  • Serve as a core contributor to the DKT leadership team, influencing enterprise technology strategy and investment priorities.

 


 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, MS, or PhD) strongly preferred.

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in data, analytics, and AI leadership roles, including experience in large-scale, complex enterprises.

  • Proven track record of:

    • Building and leading enterprise data organizations

    • Delivering measurable business impact through analytics and AI

    • Executing large-scale data platform transformations

  • Strong expertise in:

    • Data architecture (cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP)

    • Data engineering and modern data stacks

    • Advanced analytics and machine learning methodologies

  • Experience in energy, logistics, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive industries is highly desirable.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at the executive level.
