JOB SUMMARY
The Internal Audit Intern supports department initiatives by assisting with day‑to‑day activities, project work, and analysis related to the department’s objectives.
The intern will work alongside Delek Internal Audit professionals and Business Partners to support internal audit activities, including SOX compliance and operational audit projects, gaining insight into risk management, internal controls, and how the Internal Audit function supports overall business operations.
All activities will be performed in support of the strategy and vision of the organization. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Currently pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Business or similar degree
· Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher with good academic standing
· Availability to work 40 hours/per week during Summer Internship Program
· Basic knowledge of Business and Accounting Principles
· A self-starter with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
· Ability to record and present data in a clear and concise manner
· Solid written and verbal communication skills
· Solid software application skills, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
· Good organizational & Strong interpersonal skills
· Willingness and desire for continual learning and self-development
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Execute audit activities under the guidance of Internal Audit management
· Review prior‑year SOX control testing and coordinate with Internal Audit management to validate and execute current control testing in accordance with workpaper standards
· Learn about and support both Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) compliance testing and operational audit testing, as needed
· Build effective working relationships with management, peers, Internal Audit staff, and other internal and external stakeholders
· Maintain safe, clean, and orderly working environment by complying with safety procedures, rules, and regulations
· Ability to successfully work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team seeking to continuously improve Internal Audit performance
· Perform other duties as assigned
