Job Summary:

We are hiring for the position of General Accountant Supervisor located in our Brentwood, TN Corporate Office. This position offers a hybrid schedule with working three days in office and two days remote. 

The Senior General Accountant will report to our Manager, Accounting and will be responsible for leading the MIdstream Accounting team thought all aspects of accounting operations.

JOB SUMMARY

Performs general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements and capital expenditure schedules. Prepares, records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles. Provides financial support, including forecasting, budgeting and analyzing variations from budget. Analyzes and prepares statutory accounts, financial statements and reports. Conducts or assists in the documentation of accounting projects.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 4 year / Bachelor's Degree - Accounting/Finance (Required)
  • Four (4) or more years Experience in a related field (Required)
  • CPA (Preferred)

  • Supervise and a lead a Mistream Accounting Team through all aspects of accounting operations.
  • Responsible for the accounting related to assigned areas of Midtsream accounting, ensuring transactions and balances are properly recorded in the general ledger system are accurate and adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and company policy.
  • Assist the Accounting Leadership with developing internal customer relations with all Departments across all subsidiaries along with any related accounting and third party relationships to ensure that all Business and Midstream functions are accurately and timely supported with financial information requests.
  • Proactively identify, research, and resolve accounting issues during the month end close. 
  • Prepare and or review general journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and document performance of assigned controls.
