Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing.  The refining assets consist of refineries operated in Tyler and Big Spring, Texas, El Dorado, Arkansas and Krotz Springs, Louisiana with a combined nameplate crude throughput capacity of 302,000 barrels per day.

The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

Delek Logisitcs Partners, LP is currently seeking a Project Safety Specialist in the Big Springs, Texas vicinity to oversee and manage contractor safety program compliance. This position will report to the West Texas Regional EHS Manger or Director of EHS and support the project management teams in the daily contractor performance of jobs.

 

Duties:

  • Conduct site safety orientation for all new contract personnel.
  • Ensure all contractors complete daily, weekly or monthly reports as required and submit to EHS Safety Manager or Director as directed.
  • Conduct daily audits of contractor’s performance to ensure compliance with applicable site regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate all accidents/incidents and complete required reporting practices; conduct RCA of each accident/incident. Identify potential trend development that may impact safety, health and environmental programs.
  • Ensure required training is completed by all company personnel and conduct training as required to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Must be currently certified (or re-certifiable) in Hazwoper 40 hour requirements.
  • Must have knowledge in the operations of air monitoring equipment; respiratory protection devices; noise level monitoring systems; and other devices as deemed necessary for compliance with all EHS requirements.
  • Must have strong working knowledge of OSHA 1926 construction requirements

 

Education:

Minimum BS degree in occupational safety; safety management; safety engineering or similar field. Not required but desired; ASP; CSP.

Minimum 10 years’ experience (verifiable) in construction, preferably in pipeline and related structures and a CSHO designation from a certified OSHA training institution will be considered in lieu of degree.
