Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing.  The refining assets consist of refineries operated in Tyler and Big Spring, Texas, El Dorado, Arkansas and Krotz Springs, Louisiana with a combined nameplate crude throughput capacity of 302,000 barrels per day.


The logistics operations primarily consist of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek US Holdings, Inc.and its affiliates own approximately 63% (including the 2 percent general partner interest) of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek Logistics Partners, LP (NYSE:DKL) is a growth-oriented master limited partnership focused on owning and operating midstream energy infrastructure assets.


The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

The Terminal Manager is responsible for managing the Terminal Operators. The Terminal Manager is also responsible for developing and implementing procedures and communicating with the Area Manager to ensure safe and reliable operations of all Terminal Assets. The individual must have a strong commitment to safety, environmental protection, product integrity, reliability, budget and legal compliance.



  • Review all terminal employee work assignments coordinated by the Lead Operator to ensure terminal is properly manned as required
  • Directs the receipt, storing and delivery of products
  • Understands the tank layout and loading rack configurations
  • Maintains plant and equipment in support of Terminal Reliability and Maintenance Plans
  • Controls the terminal expense budget and recommends investment needs
  • Participates in the development of O&M procedures, site specific procedures, project scope and work plans
  • Coordinates the Company’s Safety and Work Policies and Practices Programs
  • Ensures that the Company’s policies and procedures are followed
  • Is knowledgeable of all data processing programs and procedures as related to Terminals and Transportation Operations
  • Directs the day-to-day compliance of environmental, health and safety issues for regulatory compliance
  • Documents all training records
  • Develops, instructs, motivates and disciplines workforce in compliance with company standards
  • Coordinates security drill, response drills and all other necessary drills and training for operators
  • Lead response for operational, environmental or security incidents until Incident Commander arrives on site or in absence of incident commander
  • Ensures all Preventative Maintenance and inspections are completed
  • Ensures established policies, rules and regulations are followed
  • Conducts incident and near miss investigations, and job safety analysis as needed
  • Responsible for expense budget oversight, and maintenance activities to ensure that the product is handled in an efficient, safe, and economically conscious manner
  • Analyzing operational metrics to anticipate and mitigate performance issues and help steer initiatives and ensure that they are rolled out effectively to the team
  • Provide oversight of daily reconciliation of terminal products and additives and maintain accurate inventory control, measurement & compliance
  • Work with the commercial and engineering teams to steer both maintenance and customer improvement projects
  • Represent the company at various functions involving State, Federal, and Local agencies and qualify as the Facility Security Officer
  • Available 24/7 for emergency response and operational needs
  • Maintaining all required documentation for safety management.
  • Operating a company vehicle.
  • Maintaining the company vehicle at all times to ensure safety to him/her and the equipment that he/she will operate.
  • Maintaining the tools and equipment issued to him/her.
  • Take call on a regular or if needed basis.
  • Work weekends if needed.
  • Ordering any parts as needed
  • Manage business reviews, drive operational improvements and perform strategy and planning session cross-functionally partnering both internally and externally. Measuring progress against goals and facilitating management discussions and decisions as needed



Terminal Operations

  • Should be familiar with the following industry codes or standards
    • API 653
    • API 570
    • NACE Cathodic Protection (CP)
  • Receives and transfers products by pipeline, truck
  • Familiar with inventory management and supply logistics
  • Performs product testing and ensures that all products meet API and Company specifications while stored on site and when shipped
  • Has a full understanding of terminal pipeline configurations
  • Coordinates product “flushes”
  • Monitors flow rates into tanks
  • Manually gauges tanks
  • Performs/ensures that hourly gauging/leak checks are taken
  • Has a thorough understanding of the terminal’s HI & HI-HI level alarm systems
  • Uses basic math to compute tank capacities
  • Ensures the safe and efficient receipt of product

Occasional Duties:

  • Performs other duties as assigned



Equipment Use:

  • Must be knowledgeable in relation to all terminal equipment.
  • Must be able to use standard office equipment such as a computer, copy/scanner machine, laser printer and paper shredder


Work Hours:

  • Normal business hours, however must be able to also work the following as needed: split days off; evening and weekend on-call shifts; weekend work; holiday work; shifts as required to maintain 24-hour/7-day operations
  • Must be available for 24-hour emergency response




  • Must be able to make sound and timely decisions for the continued supply of products to customers.
  • Must be able to function effectively under pressure and time constraints.
  • Must have a complete knowledge of the safe and proper handling of petroleum products
  • Ensures safe and efficient receipt and shipping of hazardous materials
  • Full authority to stop and prevent any unsafe acts
  • Demonstrates independent judgment and good organizational skills



  • Ability to pull, push, lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and is not afraid of heights
  • Frequent: standing, walking, reaching, handling; use of corrected vision, depth perception, wide field of vision, use of hand eye coordination, color vision; climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling



  • Possesses effective verbal and written communication skills; interacts positively with all levels of employees, customers, vendors and third parties, and at all times demonstrates a professional and courteous demeanor that represents the company’s image with the highest standards of customer service and integrity
  • Able to communicate effectively by email, telephone, two way radio, fax machine, verbal conversation, and handwritten documentation to receive and transmit information in the execution of the required job functions





  • Good understanding of inventory control
  • Ability to meet assigned deadlines
  • Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction to accomplish objectives
  • Skilled in organizing and classifying files
  • Highly detail oriented, have a professional attitude, reliable, and well organized
  • Ability to learn SAP
  • Trained in Incident Command System (ICS)
  • Demonstrated values of honesty and integrity, respect for others, teamwork and collaboration, accountability and performance
  • Strong working knowledge in process safety programs including mechanical integrity, incident investigations, process hazard analysis, procedure development, and emergency response
  • Demonstrated capability in successfully leading change management and implementing programs
  • Proven ability to lead and influence terminal staff
  • Excellent communication skills including ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  • Proficient computer skills, including all Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to interact effectively and positively with all levels of Company personnel
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment, ability to anticipate and adapt to dynamic situations
  • Must have a valid Driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Must be available for on-call and able to work after-hours, holidays, and weekends as required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background screening and drug screen



  • High School Diploma
  • Associate degree in a technical, science or business field or equivalent
  • Two (3) years of experience in a supervisory/leadership role



  • Eight to Ten years’ experience in petroleum terminal operations or similar experience in a related field
  • A minimum of 3 years of supervisory assignments
