Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing.  The refining assets consist of refineries operated in Tyler and Big Spring, Texas, El Dorado, Arkansas and Krotz Springs, Louisiana with a combined nameplate crude throughput capacity of 302,000 barrels per day.

 

The logistics operations primarily consist of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek US Holdings, Inc.and its affiliates own approximately 63% (including the 2 percent general partner interest) of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek Logistics Partners, LP (NYSE:DKL) is a growth-oriented master limited partnership focused on owning and operating midstream energy infrastructure assets.

 

The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

 

 

Role Summary

 

The Transportation & Rail Logistics Analyst provides analysis of financial and operational performance for the transportation (trucking) and rail organizations. In addition to analyzing the past, this candidate will use this information to work with the operational teams to make recommendations to improve performance and results in the future. The position reports to the EVP of Business Development but will interact most often with the Business Unit leaders of Transportation and Rail Logistics.

 

Job Accountabilities

 

The analyst must strive to develop error-free, user-friendly, customer-driven analysis that supports the business units objectives.  The analyst must field multiple requests, prioritize workload, and develop efficient practices to provide deliverables and responses in a timely manner.  The analyst should be self-motivating and self-improving.  The analyst must take pride in the importance of the job function and role within the organization.

 

Description & Responsibilities

 

  • Identify key metrics and business trends within each organization which should be tracked and analyzed
  • Work with stakeholders and IT to develop the appropriate reports and metrics to drive process improvement/efficiency, lower costs and drive overall profitability. 
  • Analyze data and make recommendations to business unit leaders
  • Review financial reports for each business unit, identify trends and research exceptions
  • Support business unit leaders in the preparation of reports and presentations for meetings and budget development
  • Manage misc. projects as needed from time to time
  • Ad-hoc analysis as needed

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Computer skills using Microsoft Office products; proficiency in Excel & Word

  • Capable of handling multiple streams of information and projects simultaneously
