Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing.  The refining assets consist of refineries operated in Tyler and Big Spring, Texas, El Dorado, Arkansas and Krotz Springs, Louisiana with a combined nameplate crude throughput capacity of 302,000 barrels per day.

The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.


This position supports the creation and deployment of our talent management strategy including but not limited to goal management, performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and development planning processes. As a member of the Talent Management and Development (TM&D) team, this role will partner with the business and HR to integrate talent strategies, processes, and programs to ensure we have the right visibility to talent and a comprehensive understanding of how to deploy talent to address unique business needs.

As the Talent Development Manager, you will play a critical role on a growing and geographically dispersed team, building and executing impactful talent programs to help Delek accelerate future growth and innovation. The ideal candidate is an accomplished, high energy, collaborative leader who has experience working with managers and leaders at all levels, and a proven record of accomplishment in building a progressive talent management strategy. This position will report to the Senior Director of Talent Management and is located in the Brentwood, TN corporate office.


Working closely with the Sr. Director, Talent Management & Development, the Talent Development Manager will create strategies, design processes and develop talent management practices including talent review, talent assessment, succession planning, employee development and career development.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Designs talent management programs administered within SAP SuccessFactors (performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and development planning, etc.) to support identifying and developing internal talent to fill key roles in our overall business strategy
  • Partners with the HR Business Partner team to execute talent management programs; gathers feedback and data to from the process to make enhancements as needed
  • Provide expertise and facilitation in key TM&D initiatives and processes including Talent Review, Talent Development, Performance Management and Employee Engagement
  • Partner with HRBP’s, Talent Management, and other organizational stakeholders to identify development opportunities for high potential and key leaders that support talent and succession strategies aimed at increasing diversity at leadership levels and emerging leadership levels
  • Build a program to support new or emerging managers, for individuals new to management and experienced managers who are new to Delek (i.e. onboarding programs, new leader assimilation activities, internal support networks, mentor programs)
  • Facilitate talent brokerage meetings with senior leaders and enable the movement of top talent and critical skill pools
  • Assess and identify development opportunities and training needs and determine priorities across the employees’ lifecycle, from onboarding to promotions and beyond through collaboration with key stakeholders, including HR Business Partners
  • Coaches, facilitates, and trains, formally and informally, across a variety of topics (i.e. management, feedback, change) and in many different situations such as individual/group, workshops, webinars, and more
  • Identifies, develops and tracks key talent management metrics and prepares regular reports for review by Senior Leadership to measure success of key talent initiatives
  • Supports development of processes and tools to help leaders more effectively select, promote, develop, manage and reward talent
  • Works with the HR Business Partners and operational leaders to develop and embed talent solutions for complex organizational challenges
  • Explores new avenues for career paths, mobility and employee mentorship opportunities
  • Collaborates widely to achieve challenging objectives and to inspire people and teams to take ownership of their own development
  • Works closely with HR Partners and Talent Acquisition team to develop and maintain effective internal talent pipelines
  • Identifies organizational capability gaps and makes recommendations
  • Ability to travel when needed – no more than 15% annually
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • This position will work in close collaboration with organizational stakeholders in the implementation and management of best in class Talent Management & Development processes.



  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Organizational Behavior, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related discipline 
  • 7+ years' experience in HR related field; demonstrated track record of aligning talent initiatives to business strategies and outcomes
  • 5+ years’ or more experience supporting HR Performance and Talent Management organizational processes
  • 2+ years’ experience working with other HR systems and Talent and Performance Management systems (SuccessFactors preferred), mentoring systems, etc.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Excel; experience with various web-based and e-learning development software is a plus
  • Excellent facilitation skills and the ability to manage group dynamics; ability to gain consensus among a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, communication, presentation and influencing skills, particularly capable of delivering talent development activities at the most senior levels in the organization to establish trust, respect, competence and confidence
  • Demonstrated experience and leadership success in supporting company-wide integrated talent management programs including: talent reviews/succession planning, performance management, leadership/behavioral/technical competencies and employee engagement surveys
  • Must be highly organized, analytical, action and detail oriented with the ability to function effectively in a fast paced environment; comfort with ambiguity and navigating between strategic and tactical execution



  • Master’s degree in HR, Business, Organizational Behavior, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related discipline
  • Certifications in Myers Briggs, DISC, Hogan, Strengthsfinder, Franklin Covey
  • Demonstrated experience in the integration of leadership development and talent management
  • Executive coaching experience is a plus
  • Merger and acquisition experience a plus
  • Experience in Oil & Gas or Energy sector strongly preferred
