Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing.  The refining assets consist of refineries operated in Tyler and Big Spring, Texas, El Dorado, Arkansas and Krotz Springs, Louisiana with a combined nameplate crude throughput capacity of 302,000 barrels per day.

 

The logistics operations primarily consist of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek US Holdings, Inc.and its affiliates own approximately 63% (including the 2 percent general partner interest) of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek Logistics Partners, LP (NYSE:DKL) is a growth-oriented master limited partnership focused on owning and operating midstream energy infrastructure assets.

 

The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

Role Summary

The Corporate Contract Manager is predominantly engaged in ensuring the Legal Department’s contracting processes, policies, and systems are followed through the enterprise.  The manager works with the Legal team, Risk team, and other teams to successfully manage the lifecycle of contract requests and storage.  The manager supervises the contract management system application including problem-solving with internal partners, ensuring proper documentation, and conducting user training. 

 

Job Accountabilities

  • Will be reviewing, drafting, revising and negotiating contracts, monitoring of contract performance and compliance, recommending improvements and innovations to oversight of contract process and ensuring contract accuracy.
  • Manage contract workflow in conjunction with Company’s contract policy.
  • Maintain the contract management workflow environment.
  • Ensure all fully-executed contracts are properly stored in the electronic contract repository.
  • Effectively track incoming contract requests, delegate to appropriate Legal Department personnel for handling, and managing of procurement contracts.
  • Conduct primary review of certain contracts in accordance with Legal Department guidelines.
  • Prepare summaries of substantive terms contained in contracts.
  • Publish reports for accounting and audit purposes.
  • Monitor contract expiration and renewal deadlines.
  • Review fully-executed contracts to ensure compliance with Company’s contract policy requirements.
  • Handle inquiries from end users of contract management system, troubleshoot the system, and train users as needed.
  • Participate in work group meetings providing input on workflow and communication issues.
  • Apply formal, best practice methodologies to develop and implement contract strategies to support the contracting process.
  • Working with internal and external customers, carefully obtain the requirements needed for each contract and prepares statistical analysis for contract review.
  • Communicates and manages workflow of all contract stages.
  • Receives and prepares responses for contractual bids from organizations for the purchase of equipment, materials, products or services.
  • Review, draft and revise form agreements as well as non-standard agreements.
  • Negotiate contracts and escalate complex legal and factual issues to legal and/or risk and assist in resolution.
  • Prepare metrics on contract operations for reporting to management.
  • Ensures compliance of all existing contracts, this involves extensive research, statistical reporting and analysis.
  • Responsible for proper SOP documentation related to duties and responsibilities within the operations and support teams.
  • Lead special contract-related projects as necessary
  • Provide input and instruction to all functions to support the ongoing contract management process.
  • Represent the company in a manner consistent with policy and procedure at all conventions and key customer gatherings.
  • Other duties maybe assigned.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting or engineering discipline preferred.
  • Seven years (7) of experience in Contract Management, Procurement or related function.
  • Three years (3) management experience required
  • Must possess proven business judgement
  • Negotiation and general procurement knowledge and experience is required.  
  • Must have experience dealing with high-functioning field and refining operations, contract management processes and systems, and budgeting and planning processes.
  • Must be able to communicate well between departments, developing a team approach to contract management execution with the entire organization. Customer Service Driven.
  • Must be able to get results through leading others, building a strong team, and developing and mentoring employees for advancement and growth.
  • Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Publisher, and SharePoint) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, customers and external partners

Desired Characteristics

  • Three (5) years of experience in a contract management or procurement role in refining or oil and gas organization
  • Lean Manufacturing and or Six Sigma
  • Three (3) years in refinery or oil and gas industry
