Delek US Holdings, Inc. is a diversified downstream energy company with assets in petroleum refining, logistics, renewable fuels and convenience store retailing.  The refining assets consist of refineries operated in Tyler and Big Spring, Texas, El Dorado, Arkansas and Krotz Springs, Louisiana with a combined nameplate crude throughput capacity of 302,000 barrels per day.

 

The logistics operations primarily consist of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek US Holdings, Inc.and its affiliates own approximately 63% (including the 2 percent general partner interest) of Delek Logistics Partners, LP.  Delek Logistics Partners, LP (NYSE:DKL) is a growth-oriented master limited partnership focused on owning and operating midstream energy infrastructure assets.

 

The convenience store retail business is the largest 7-Eleven licensee in the United States and operates approximately 300 convenience stores in central and west Texas and New Mexico.

Delek is growing its Legal team and its center-led procurement organization to support all of its business units which include refinery operations, transportation and logistics, retail operations and the corporate support center. 

 

The Contracting Coordinator position will support the Delek Legal and procurement organization by assisting with the development, management and administration of contracts, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures, tracking key terms and monitoring compliance, and helping to ensure that Delek is achieving value from its contracts.  In addition to the daily support functions, the Contracting Coordinator will work to create efficiency in the development and execution of contracts and make recommendations on process improvement.

 

The ideal candidate will be an organized, energetic, hands-on team player capable of managing many different duties simultaneously.  Good people skills and a positive attitude are important as this position interacts with a variety of business units.

 

The successful candidate must be flexible and responsive, as the department is being built and will likely experience a great deal of change.  Ingenuity, collaboration, and creativity, rather than maintaining precedence, will determine success.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct analysis of existing contract preparation and flow, monitors process and tracks progress.
  • Serve as administrator and SME of Delek’s new contract management systems.
  • Provide excellent and timely customer service to internal customers in the business.
  • Support contract development, review, approval routing and execution.
  • Implement and train on new policies and procedures.
  • Provide data, information, and tools to support Strategic Sourcing Managers in effectively managing vendor contracts and helping to ensure Delek receives the total potential benefits from negotiated deals.
  • Ensure compliance with internal contracting requirements of new or extended vendor agreements and manage, resolve, and report on non-compliance issues.
  • With guidance from Legal, maintain current library of templates for contracts, legal clauses, and other legal documents.
  • Interpret and communicate vendor contracting policies and procedures to business units.
  • Suggest process improvement ideas to improve inefficiencies in the contracting process and contribute to other process improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare data reports as requested.
  • Occasional travel - no more than 20%

 

ADDITIONAL OCCASIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support Legal and Procurement with tactical / operational duties as needed
  • Coordinate training for employees on systems and processes
  • Other projects, research, data cleansing and reporting as assigned

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • BS Degree in Business or related field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years in a contracting related role preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of professional work experience preferred
     

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Fluency in “commercial” terms and familiarity with “legal” terms in contracts
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience in contract development, management and administration
  • Positive, customer service oriented attitude
  • Commitment to accomplishing key objectives and initiatives with expediency
  • Confidence to challenge convention where appropriate
  • Contract negotiation and team-building skills
  • Strong verbal skills and superior grammatical and writing skills
  • Strong PC skills including Windows, Microsoft Office and ERP systems
  • Prior experience using Contract Management systems
  • Prior Procurement or Sourcing experience is a plus
  • Experience with Zycus is a plus.
